U.S. Band has ‘unprecedented’ year

SIDNEY — “As I reflect on last year, one word comes to mind: unprecedented. So many challenges were thrown at our community so quickly, sometimes simultaneously and without warning. While there was no roadmap for navigating a pandemic amid a reckoning with racial injustice, at U.S. Bank our amazing teams found ways to rally so we could power the potential of our customers, community and employees,” said Andy Counts, regional president for the U.S. Bank Ohio Indiana Region.

His report continues:

While businesses owners in Ohio faced an economy paralyzed by COVID-19, our teams worked around the clock to help them through this period of incredible need, whether it was through the bank’s hardship assistance offerings or federal relief through options like the Paycheck Protection Program, through which U.S. Bank secured more than $450 million dollars in across the state with the potential to support 56,000 local jobs.

That’s not all. To keep our employees and customers safe, we turned to U.S. Bank’s digital tools, making it easy for our customers to bank on their own using the app or online banking. The bank’s co-browse feature allowed us to help customers remotely and for those who needed help in person, we offered convenient online appointment scheduling to set up safe one-one-one time with a banker. Our mobile app ended the year with some third-party validation of our efforts: Business Insider Intelligence ranked the U.S. Bank Mobile App No. 1 in customer service features.

In addition to helping our customers, U.S. Bank also donated $1 million to eight Ohio-based organizations as part of our $15 million U.S. Bank Foundation Rebuild and Transform Fund to help address communities impacted by social unrest and systemic racial inequities in small business, housing and workforce advancement.

While 2020 challenged us, it also empowered us to reimagine what’s possible. As we start 2021, U.S. Bank is already helping business owners with a new round of the Paycheck Protection Program. We will continue to invest in new technology and digital tools for our customers to securely bank how, where and when they want. We are also committed to continuing our support in our communities to ensure that we power everyone’s potential.
