Moeller Brew Barn plans for an eventful March

TROY – Moeller Brew Barn is set for a March full of events.

A weekend-long brewery celebration is in the works to commemorate the St. Patrick’s Day holiday from March 12 to 14. With the kick-off of the NCAA men’s basketball tournament, each taproom is preparing for Moeller Madness from March 19 to 21.

To accompany each of these events, Moeller’s newly released Frogtown IPA is making its way out into the market, in both cans and kegs.

From March 12 to 14 in Maria Stein and March 12 to 13 in Troy, both Moeller Brew Barn taprooms will feature a plethora of live music, festive apparel, free branded mood mugs and special food and beer releases to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day.

In Troy, the Drab Irish Band will make a special appearance on March 13 while the Sons of Blarney Band will jam in Maria Stein.

“St. Patrick’s Day 2020 fell kinda flat. On March 17 last year, we were rewriting our business plan and opening our online ordering store so people could pick up beer or food or we could deliver car-side,” said Nick Moeller, founder of Moeller Brew Barn.

Following the close of St. Patrick’s Day weekend, Moeller Madness will kick off at both taprooms. Lunch specials will be offered on March 19 to properly open March Madness and the month of college basketball. Games will be live all weekend long with endless eats.

“Sanitization, good hygiene and caring for others has always been values of ours – from the brewing, cellaring and packaging to the kitchen, food, beer and service side. 2020 helped reinforce those values and really helped raise the bar,” Moeller said.

Moeller Brew Barn’s Frogtown IPA was successfully released into both taprooms on Feb. 25. This American IPA is full of grapefruit and citrus notes and aromas.
