BBB to host virtual earth day networking event

DAYTON – In observance of Earth Day, the Better Business Bureau is hosting a networking event celebrating the great outdoors.

The event will be from 5:30-7 p.m. April 22 on Zoom. The cost is $15 for BBB accredited businesses/charities and WiBN members and $20 for others. To register, visit bit.ly/EarthDayNetworking.

Attendees will start as a big group and have the opportunity to connect with all the participants. But, attendees also will go into smaller breakout rooms so they get to know a few attendees even better.

Attendees are encouraged to join the event virtually from one of their favorite outdoor spots or use a photo to create a Zoom background featuring their favorite spot.

Attendees also will receive an Earth Day swag bag, which they can drive by the BBB office the afternoon of the event between noon and 3 p.m. to pick up. The bags will contain a cookie provided by The Cakery, a complimentary coffee coupon from Third Perk Coffeehouse And Wine Bar, an Earth Day gift provided by The Siebenthaler Company and BBB and WiBN gifts to complete the package.

Embracing the Earth Day theme, $5 of every registration will be donated to the Five Rivers MetroParks Foundation for the Access to Nature Scholarship program. This program provides financial assistance to qualified families and individuals for fee-based MetroParks programs, camps and shelter and camping permits. Making attendees dollars go even further, BBB will match donations.
