CELINA — Megan Marvin, human resources benefits administrator at Celina Insurance Group, recently earned the Society for Human Resource Management Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) designation after successfully completing the SHRM-CP exam.

“With the SHRM-CP designation, I’ve expanded my knowledge of HR practices and theories. It’s a complex field that requires ongoing education and research to deliver optimal support to employees,” Marvin said. “An added benefit is that it allows me to network and share insights with other HR professionals.”

The exam covers a full range of HR competencies for those who engage in HR work at the operational level.

“We trust this designation will serve Megan well in our continuing efforts to provide Celina employees with comprehensive HR services and programs,” said Christine Purdy, director of human resources at Celina Insurance Group.

Celina Insurance Group is comprised of four mutual property and casualty insurance companies. The companies, rated Excellent by AM Best, provide protection for autos, homes, businesses, and farms through more than 500 independent agencies in six states. Founded in 1914, with its headquarters in Celina, the organization is committed to supporting its policyholders and communities.
