SIDNEY — Dickman Supply Inc., an electrical and industrila wholesaler headquartered in Sidney with loctions in Greenville, Celina and Marysville, is one of the Dayton-area’s fastest growing companies, according to a recent release from the Dayton Business Journal.
The edition highlighted the top 50 companies based upon sustained growth rates over the past three years. Dickman made the list with a 40 percent rate of growth over that period of time.
The rapid growth that has taken place in the area northwest of Columbus prompted the opening of the branch in Marysville in late 2013. In less than a year, the Marysville store outgrew its leased space, land was acquired, and plans are underway to construct a much larger facility, to be opened early in 2016.
Over the past several years, with the help of utility rebate programs and government legislation demanding reductions in energy use, LED lighting has become an affordable, mainstream option for everyone. Being on the leading edge of this major shift in energy efficiency proved to be another big factor in Dickman Supply’s growth.
Along with these, Dickman recently opened an online store to allow customers access to their account information and a much faster, more efficient method of placing orders.
