SIDNEY — Ferguson Construction Co. was recently recognized for strong performances in the construction industry.

Ferguson Construction Co. was honored with two Excellence in Construction Eagle Awards by the Ohio Valley Associated Builders and Contractors Inc. (OVABC) for its construction of Koenig Equipment Service & Retail Facility in Greenville and the Good Samaritan Family Medicine Building in Dayton. The Eagle Award is part of OVABC’s Excellence in Construction award competition which honors construction projects in the Ohio Valley. The program was developed to honor innovative and high-quality merit shop construction projects and safety programs. This award honors the construction team members including the contractor, owner, architect and engineer. Winning projects are judged on complexity, attractiveness, unique challenges, completion time, workmanship, innovation, safety and cost.

At the same event, Ferguson Construction Co. was also presented with an Award of Merit for its work on the Emerson Climate Technologies Innovation Center known as “the helix” in Dayton and an Honorable Mention for the construction of Goodwill Industries new headquarters in downtown Dayton.

At the Nucor Building Systems Builders Meeting in Nashville, Tennessee, Ferguson Construction Co. was given the 2015 Top Volume Builder of the Year Award. This award is based on the volume of steel purchased and then subsequently used in construction projects. This is the second year that Ferguson Construction has been honored with this award.
