Bike advocacy group takes on parking

DAYTON — Bike Miami Valley and Dero have teamed up to help Greater Dayton companies and communities meet the growing demand for bike parking.

Bike Miami Valley has more than 30 years of experience advocating for better bicycling in the Miami Valley and Dero has been a leader in bike parking since 1995. As an official Dero eealer, Bike Miami Valley has the local knowledge, expertise, and products to help Miami Valley businesses and developers welcome customers who bicycle.

“We’re more than avid bicyclists at Bike Miami Valley – it’s our mission. We know all too well the challenges and frustrations people encounter when trying to find secure bike parking. We hear about it frequently,” says Emmy Fabich, program manager. “This is a great opportunity for us to reach out to local companies to let them know we’re here to help. The business community plays an integral part in the bike friendliness and vitality of our community. By making the choice to provide good quality bicycle parking, businesses are investing in people who ride.”

Bike Miami Valley will help customers navigate bike parking standards and permits, recommend quality bike racks to best meet their needs, and offer free site visits. All bike parking sales benefit Bike Miami Valley’s bike advocacy efforts.
