SIDNEY — McCrate, DeLaet & Co., an accounting and tax firm, has announced staff promotions and additions.

Certified public accountants Scott Steineman and Jane Gariety were promoted to managers, Oct. 15. Steineman has been with the firm since 2014 and recently acquired his Certified Information Technology Professional credentials. He specializes in accounting and auditing and also manages the firm’s website. He graduated from Capital University and resides in New Bremen. Gariety has been with the firm since 1999 and specializes in accounting, tax preparation and Peachtree software. She graduated from the Ohio State University and resides in Jackson Center.

The firm also added several staff members during the summer and fall months. They include certified public accountant and certified financial planner Kevin Schlarman; recent college graduates Darian Bergman and Macy Turner; and administrative staff member Connie Caudill. Schlarman is a graduate of the Ohio State University Fisher College of Business and resides in Chickasaw. Bergman graduated from Urbana University and resides in Maria Stein. Turner graduated from Wright State University and resides in Fort Loramie.
