SIDNEY — Aunt Millie’s Bakery has acquired additional space for storage and distribution.

Aunt Millie’s is a trade name for Perfection Bakeries, which has acquired a 5,100-square-foot facility at 2000 Fair Road. Company officials are considering a retail store in this location in the future.

Aunt Millie’s operates six bakeries in three states, producing bread and other bakery products. Aunt Millie’s many brands are distributed throughout the United States, with primary distribution in the Midwest. It is a family-owned company headquartered in Fort Wayne, Indiana, with bakery outlet stores in Illinois, Indiana, Ohio, Michigan and Wisconsin.

“This Fair Road facility will provide Perfection Bakeries with the additional space to help facilitate their manufacturing and shipping operations while being strategically located,” said Tim Echemann of Industrial Property Brokers, who brokered the deal. John Popp of Perfection Bakeries said that he liked the convenient and high profile location of the Fair Road facility.

“We should be using the facility within the next several weeks. We do not have any new hiring requirements at this time,” Popp said.
