RE/MAX ONE ends year on high note

SIDNEY — RE/MAX ONE ended 2016 on a high note with over $17 million in sales and an average price of $138,973 surpassing that of our larger competitors. Gay Smith continued to lead the field holding a 12.69 percent of the market share with the closest competitor at 5.30 percent. It was a year of challenge and hard work.

Many Shelby County agents helped make these statistics become solid with their efforts to “make things happen,” said Smith.

Her report continues:

The predictions for 2017 predicted through Realtor.com suggest that the millennials and boomers will dominate the market. The Midwest is predicted to be at the head of the market for purchases. Home prices are expected to slow to 3.9 percent from the 4.9 percent in 2016. And the current inventory is not expected to change in 2017.

Fortunately, we very rarely follow the predictions and we are experiencing a good strong market at this time. We have able purchasers and the sellers are having to compromise some but we are not experiencing a huge down turn in our pricing.

RE/MAX ONE is looking forward to adding agents this year both in the Sidney office and in our Tipp City office and we are anticipating even more positive growth. We value customer service and customer care as our most solid offering to our clients with our knowledge, enthusiasm and willingness and integrity to make a positive difference for our buyers and sellers.
