SIDNEY — Bids are now being accepted for Fair Haven Shelby County Home’s addition project.

The first advertisement was posted on Sept. 18 requesting bid proposals from interested contractors. A second posting is planned for Sept. 25.

The Shelby County commissioners will accept bids until 2 p.m., Oct. 24.

The bids are for single prime contract for the following categories of work, according to the posted notice: general construction, plumbing, mechanical, electrical, fire protection, site work and selected demolition.

According to the notice, the estimated cost of the base bid work is $10,195,000.

“We really look forward to examining the bids and selecting the right contractor for this project,” Administrator Anita Miller said. “The commissioners and the entirety of Fair Haven are eager to see this project completed.”
