DRT expands footprint in aerospace market

SIDNEY — DRT Precision Mfg., LLC – a new name, for an established business.

“In 2013, DRT Holdings Inc. purchased Sidney Tool & Die – a business that has been in the Sidney area since 1954 – when brothers Robert and John Sargeant founded that company,” said John Seger, plant manager. “DRT purchased the business – to expand their footprint into the aerospace market – where Sidney Tool & Die (ST&D) serviced Fortune 500 customers.”

His report continues:

Sidney Tool & Die also had a strong, regional-based manufacturing business – that focused on large, complex, engineering-centric manufacturing solutions. This regional manufacturing business is now – DRT Precision Mfg., LLC – located in the same building as ST&D and with the same people and capabilities as ST&D. By splitting these two businesses – we can focus on the respective customer base, and grow both businesses – the Aerospace (DRT Power Systems – Sidney), and the regional manufacturing business (DRT Precision Mfg., LLC).

DRT Precision Mfg., LLC – has always focused on the toughest manufacturing challenges – including large complex machining, as well as complete tool room capabilities – for the most precise manufacturing challenges. In addition – DRT Precision has design engineering capabilities – for manufacturing solutions that require design as well.

DRT Precision has large boring mills, large machining centers, lathes, wire and ram EDM, cylindrical and jig grinding – but the real secret of the success – is the exceptional customer service from technically savvy people – where we can respond quickly and provide the best technical manufacturing solution.

DRT Precision Mfg. is located at 1985 Campbell Road in Sidney.
