SIDNEY — Bryce Realty LLC had a tremendous 2017 while transitioning from a buyers market to a sellers market. The market averaged 35 percent fewer listings compared to 2016 with the average sell price increasing 8.5 percent over the previous year. Sell price to list price ratios averaged about 99 percent with many homes being sold at or above asking price.
With fewer homes on the market purchasing a home has become a challenge for buyers since the reduction in inventory.
“We have had many clients tell us they would put their house on the market if there were more homes to choose from, therefore we have a supply shortage. Buyers can’t buy if sellers don’t sell,” said Ryan Fleming, broker/owner.
