SIDNEY — “Air Handling celebrated our 40th year in business with a great year of growth.” reported Kurt Barhorst, president.

His report follows:

Air Handling has two locations one in Sidney and the other in Milford, Ohio. Both of these locations experienced growth in 2017. The Milford location was established in 2015 and is led by Jeff Minks. Jeff has been actively selling for more than 13 years in the Cincinnati market. He has been with Air Handling for 2.5 years and is starting to establish a client base. Naturally, the Cincinnati market is significantly larger than the Sidney market, so we are looking for great things from Jeff in the years to come.

The Sidney location, originally founded as the local LeROI distributor, likewise had a strong year of growth in 2017. We have noted in these reports previously that Air Handling focuses on our four core departments of Equipment Sales, Parts Sales, Compressor Services, and Compressor Rentals. We experienced increased sales in all 4 of these areas. Jeff Pleiman, Operations Manager, who joined the AHE team in 2013, oversaw the operations in both locations and managed this growth.

Air Handling represents the Gardner Denver brand of air compressors. “Gardner Denver’s acquisition of CompAir and LeROI air compressors has been a very good thing for Air Handling and our customers. Benefits include a product that is made in the USA, a 5 year parts and labor warranty program, 10 year rotary screw warranty program and energy efficient product offerings” reported Barhorst.

The Sales Department has been led by Aaron Lacy for over 15 years. This department experienced another successful year of total unit sales and revenue. David Bartlett joined the sales team in 2017. David, who lives in the Toledo area, has over 15 years of compressed air experience. He will look to grow AHE’s Northern market share, primarily focusing his efforts in the Lima and Findlay areas. The Industrial Internet of Things (IIOT) continues to take a stronger hold in the industrial market. To meet this challenge, AHE Sales Engineers continue to focus on providing energy efficient systems that include remote monitoring and sequencing. Part of this effort was once again acknowledged by DP&L, as Air Handling was recognized as one of DP&L’s top channel partners in 2017.

The Parts Department exceeded the record levels reached in 2016. Lynette Caulfield led this area for her 12th year. Her commitment to customer service and attention to detail continues to create a very loyal customer base. The focus of this department in 2018 will be to improve inventory control systems, implement options that utilize IIOT, and increase sales in the Cincinnati market.
