SIDNEY — “Sidney Electric Company provides the best value in electrical contracting services,” said Bill McClain, director of business development and marketing.

His report continues:

Experience, quality work, safety awareness, and a seasoned, well-trained work force equates to satisfied customers and “The Best Value in Electrical Contracting Services and Solutions.” We saw growth in all the major markets we served this past year. Projects in chemical and refinery facilities, along with local automotive and manufacturing plants increased significantly. Also, we have had exceptional growth in our service and field work in our northern market area. We continue to add a new service person to our ranks each year to help cover this type of work and are very thankful for the increased business.

“We are extremely pleased with the dedication of our employees and their accomplishments this year. Our staff is the core reason for our continued success. We had a number of employees receive service awards and I would like to congratulate the following employees: Nathan Dyer, Scott Musgrave, and Thomas Whitehead 5-years. Bill McClain and Ronald Schwartz 10-years, and Dustin Davis 15-years. Gary Howard and our vice president, Mike Ellett, celebrated their 20th year anniversaries. Tim Marlatt celebrated his 35th year anniversary. The dedication of each of these employees has contributed much to the success of our company,” said company president, John Frantz.

“Also, we have one exceptional employee who recently celebrated her 50th year anniversary. I am extremely proud to have worked with Betty Miars for the past 39-years and I am honored that she continues to be part of our Sidney Electric Company family. Betty has worked along side our founder, Herb Schlater, past company president John Carlisle, and myself. She is the backbone of why and what we do each and everyday, which is making sure we take care of our customers and co-workers. In honor of Betty’s long-time commitment to her favorite charity, Big Brothers and Big Sisters of Shelby and Darke County, I will be providing an on-going financial commitment in her name to the organization,” Frantz said.
