SIDNEY — Western Ohio Mortgage President Teresa Rose CMB, is reporting the company has experienced growth for the ninth straight year and recorded record closing numbers for 2017.

“The company closed in excess of 600 mortgage transactions for a closed volume of over $90,000,000.00 Twenty-five percent of that loan production was done in Shelby County alone. Other top production areas included Miami, Auglaize and Logan counties,” she said.

Her report continues:

The company successfully captured a 38 percent market share in the Shelby County area. (data provided by WRIST) As an Independent Mortgage Banker, this is a tremendous accomplishment. A major contributor to this success was Loan Officer and WOMC Vice President Adam Rose. Adam personally closed over 200 loans for $23,000,000 in loan volume. This places him among the top originators for units closed in the State of Ohio.

e are very pleased with the numbers that Adam put up this year. We honestly did not expect him to beat the numbers he did in 2016, but he set a goal and was able to hit it. He is a very valuable member of the WOMC team and we think that 2018 will be an even better year for him.

The 2017 growth was also attributed to a very diverse product offering . Western Ohio Mortgage rolled out a New Construction product that is unique for the market area. The program is a two stepped loan that permits lower than typical down payments. “We don’t think anyone in the area is being as aggressive as we are with new construction lending. We saw a need for the product and worked to bring it to the market.”

Reverse Mortgages have also contributed to WOMC growth. More and more seniors are understanding the benefits of this product and I am the only CRMP (Certified Reverse Mortgage Professional) in the state of Ohio. This designation assures clients that they are dealing with a trusted professional who has the education to guide them thru the process and determine if the loan is right for them.

Western Ohio Mortgage looks forward to another growth year in 2018 as several new locations were opened in 2017. These locations include Troy, Mason, Sprinboro and Canton Ohio.
