Sheriff’s log

THURSDAY

-11:24 a.m.: property damage crash. Deputies responded to a report of a crash at Honda of America on Meranda Road in Franklin Township.

-10:16 a.m.: school bus passing. Deputies responded to the 9000 block of Pasco Montra Road in Salem Township on the report of a school bus passing.

WEDNESDAY

-4:24 p.m.: investigate complaint. Deputies investigated a scam complaint at 13900 Southland Road in Dinsmore Township.

Crashes

Robert L. Brumbaugh, 77, of Troy, was cited with failure to yield at stop or yield after a two-vehicle crash on Wednesday at 2:37 p.m.

Brumbaugh was traveling southbound on Lindsey Road when he stopping at the stop sign and then pulled out in front of a southwest-bound vehicle on Fair Road driven by Tarin Keith Crowder, 22, of Piqua, causing a collision. After Crowder’s vehicle struck the other vehicle, it went off the left side of the roadway and then struck a tree.

Brumbaugh told the deputies he never saw Crowder. Crowder said he saw Brumbaugh stop at the stop sign, then pull out in front of him, but was unable to avoid hitting Brumbaugh’s vehicle.

Brumbaugh was transported by Houston Rescue to Wilson Health. His Silver 2002 Chevrolet S-10 pickup truck was towed from the scene by Mantor Auto.

Crowder’s grey 2012 Audi was towed away by Brian’s Towing.

Fire, rescue

THURSDAY

-11:42 a.m.: medical. Perry Port Salem Rescue and Port Jefferson Fire responded to the 12000 block of Lochard Road in Salem Township.

-5:58 a.m.: medical. Anna Rescue responded to the 200 block of Mill Street in Dinsmore Township.

WEDNESDAY

-9:05 p.m.: medical. Fort Loramie Rescue and Police responded to the unit block of Greenback Road in McLean Township.
