-6:03 p.m.: theft. Deputies were dispatched to 10178 Museum Trail in Washington Township on the report of the theft of a tablet.

TUESDAY

-9:13 p.m.: suspicious person. Botkins Police responded to East State Street at North Sycamore Street in Dinsmore Township on the report of a suspicious person.

-6:47 p.m.: assist other unit. Fort Loramie Police was dispatched to the 10000 block of state Route 364 in McLean Township to assist Darke and Mercer County Deputies.

Crashes

No one was cited after a one-vehicle crash on Saturday at 11:35 p.m.

Dalton Thomas Hughes, 23, of Jackson Center, was traveling eastbound on Wise Road when he said a deer ran in front of his vehicle. Hughes swerved to miss the deer, but hit it, then went off the south side of the roadway and struck a utility pole before coming to a stop in a field on the south side of the roadway.

• No one was cited after a crash on Saturday at 9:14 a.m.

Tim A. Carpenter, 60, of St. Marys, was traveling northbound on state Route 29. Thomas D. Klinger, 59, of Oakwood, was traveling southbound on state Route 29. As Carpenter was passing in front of 13080 State Route 29, a piece of aluminum sticking up out of the recycling hopper on his truck caught an electrical line and a cable line going to the house from a pole across the road. The electric service was ripped from the house and the line was broken. When the electric line broke, it fell across Klinger’s vehicle and caused damage to the hood, both mirrors and antenna.

• Douglas M. Copas, 39, of DeGraff, was cited with failure to control after a one-vehicle crash on Saturday at 12:25 a.m.

Copas was traveling westbound in the 2000 block of Riverside Drive when he said a deer ran onto the roadway. He swerved to avoid the deer, lost control of the vehicle and struck a guardrail on both the north and south side of Riverside Drive.

• No one was cited following a one-vehicle crash on Sunday at 1:03 a.m.

Grace Lilly Ogilvie, 17, of New Knoxville, was traveling eastbound on Amsterdam Road when she went off the north side of the road. The rear of her vehicle struck a utility pole, came back onto the road and began to skid sideways, then went off the south side of the roadway and into a ditch, causing the vehicle to flip over onto its top.

Ogilvie was transported by New Bremen EMS to Joint Township.

WEDNESDAY

-2:37 p.m.: medical. Anna Rescue responded to the 400 block of West Pike Street in Jackson Township.

-9:48 a.m.: medical. Anna Rescue responded to the 14400 block of Fort Loramie Swanders Road in Franklin Township.

-9:36 a.m.: medical. Fort Loramie Rescue responded to the 8500 block of state Route 66 in Cynthian Township.

-12:24 p.m.: medical. Anna Rescue responded to the 600 block of Winding Ridge Lane in Franklin Township.
