WEDNESDAY

-9:14 p.m.: vehicle trespass. Frankl Wallis, 930 Chestnut Ave., reported someone entered his vehicle at his residence.

-9:01 p.m.: contempt. Police arrested Robbie S. Copeland, 46, 230 Jefferson St., Apt. 50, on a warrant from Sidney Municipal Court.

-10:58 a.m.: burglary. Angela Evans, 230 Jefferson St., reported someone stole medication from her residence.

-9:40 a.m.: theft. David Schnippel, 612 Thomas Drive, reported a CD player, valued at $20, was stolen from a vehicle at his residence.

-9:05 a.m.: criminal damaging. Police charged Chad Wilson, 40, 327 S. West Ave., with criminal damaging.

-6:12 a.m.: theft. Someone found a purse containing $10 and gave it to police. Police later learned the purse had been stolen from a vehicle. Police returned the purse to Terra Richardson, 533 Rauth St.

-6 a.m.: breaking and entering. Carty’s Bike Shop, 412 S. Brooklyn Ave., was broken into and $16 was stolen.

-9:07 p.m.: missing person. A man reported a juvenile had not come home.

MONDAY

-10:10 p.m.: criminal damaging. Travis Tubb, 316 E. Court St., reported two windows in his vehicle were damaged in the Walmart parking lot. Loss was $500.

Accidents

Dorothy Pequignot, 91, 5223 County Road 4, Quincy, was cited with failure to yield the right of way after an accident Monday at 12:08 p.m.

Pequignot was turning left from West Avenue onto West Court Street and hit two people who were walking in the crosswalk. The pedestrians were Erin Gaerke, 18, 1881 Redmond Road, Russia, and Samantha Gaerke, 15, of the same address. Erin Gaerke had nonincapacitating injures and was taken to Wilson Memorial Hospital. Samantha Gaerke was not injured.

Pequignot drove away from the scene after the accident. Witnesses followed her to the Kroger parking lot and called police. Police talked to Pequignot, who said she stopped after the accident and asked the girls if they were OK. They said they were OK, so she left. The two girls who were struck were with a larger group of girls; the others jumped out of the way and were not hit.

• Robert L. Ewing, 59, 807 Brooklyn Ave., Apt. 2, was cited with improper backing after an accident Tuesday at 2:03 p.m.

Ewing backed from a parking space on North Ohio Avenue in front of the post office and hit a car driven by Denise Virgallito, 54, 821 Taft St.

Fire, rescue

THURSDAY

-4:45 to 5:43 a.m.: Medics responded to three calls.

WEDNESDAY

-5:51 p.m.: fire alarm. Firefighters were called to the 2000 block of Schlater Drive by a fire alarm. It was an alarm malfunction.

-1:43 to 4:29 p.m.: Medics responded to three calls.
