MONDAY

-8:36 p.m.: burglary. Christy Thornburg, 41, 1465 E. Court St., Apt. F, reported someone caused damage to the door jamb at her residence.

-6:08 p.m.: unauthorized use of a motor vehicle. Police arrested Matt Watterson, 109 N. Mill St., Botkins, for unauthorized use of a motor vehicle. According to police reports, Superior Auto, 104 E. North St., was listed as the victim.

-4:18 p.m.: robbery. A 14-year-old juvenile was arrested for robbery and a 16-year-old juvenile was arrested for obstructing official business in the 200 block of South Ohio Avenue.

-11:55 a.m.: theft. Steve Yeager, 70, 529 Rauth St., reported someone stole his trash can.

-11:28 a.m.: breaking and entering. Between Friday and Monday someone broke into 500 W. North St. and stole cooper pipes.

-2:09 a.m.: obstructing official business. Police arrested Antione Jessie, 38, for obstructing official business on a traffic stop.

SUNDAY

-11:15 p.m.: theft. Wal-Mart reported juveniles were suspected of stealing items.

-11:05 a.m.: criminal damaging. A vehicle belonging to Carol Liveston, 54, 607 Fair Road, had a large rock thrown through it’s rear window some time overnight. Nothing was missing from inside the vehicle.

SATURDAY

-12:05 p.m.: contempt. Police arrested Deidra McClellan, 34, 1623 Willow Place, on a warrant out of Sidney Municipal Court.

-10:06 a.m.: criminal damaging. Casa Lupita reported the lock and door knob at the restaurant were damaged.

FRIDAY

-11:09 p.m.: criminal damaging. Danielle Hughes, 40, 17834 State Route 706, reported vent visors at 1600 Michigan St., were damaged.

-6:56 p.m.: aggravated menacing. Jessica Blount, 19, reported being threatened.

-6:22 p.m.: aggravated menacing. Jody Moon, 53, 721 N. West. Ave., reported being threatened.

-3:39 p.m.: warrant service. Police arrested Deanna Steffey, 45, 222 Jefferson St., Quincy, on an active warrant out of Richmond County.

-3:22 a.m.: operating a vehicle under the influence. Police arrested Mark Bender, 34, 317 New St., for OVI.

THURSDAY

-8:25 p.m.: theft. Police arrested Blake Nickel, 23, 127 Park Ave., Piqua, for theft from Fuel Stop on West Court Street.

-5:17 p.m.: theft. Two vehicles on Taylor Drive were entered and money was taken from inside. The vehicles belonged to Britton Morris, 25, 834 Taylor Drive, and Gary Hale, 46, 842, Taylor Drive.

-10:56 a.m.: found property. An bill fold and and Ohio ID card belonging to Tariq Vining, 18, were found and placed into the evidence locker for safe keeping.

-10:09 a.m.: theft. Angela Lee, 46, 480 Riverside Drive, reported someone entered her vehicle and stole miscellaneous change.

WEDNESDAY

-6:42 p.m.: falsification. Police arrested Joshua Graham, 23, 822 Taft St., for falsification.

Dec. 29

-2:11 p.m.: theft. Wal-Mart advised of the theft of two new, still in the box, vacuum cleaners.

Dec. 28

-12:14 p.m.: theft. Roy Terry, 53, 1653 9th Ave., Huntington, West Virginia, reported $300 was missing from his room at 400 Folkerth Ave., Sidney.

Accidents

Esco Mabes, 68, 1437 Childrens-Home Road, was cited for obedience to a traffic control device after an accident on Monday at

Mabes was traveling northbound on Fourth Avenue at Michigan Street when he failed to stop at the red light and struck a vehicle traveling eastbound on Michigan Street.

The driver of the other vehicle was Nicklas Perdue, 31, 4509 Ford Road, St. Paris.

• Brandan Barhorst, 16, 520 E. Hoewisher Road, was cited for operation without reasonable control after an accident on Monday at 9:42 a.m.

Barhorst was westbound on East Hoewisher Road and slid out of control on the icy roadway, colliding head-on with a vehicle traveling eastbound. Both vehicles then slid off the roadway damaging a yard in the 600 block of Hoewisher Road.

The driver of the other vehicle was Gustave Link, 21, 302 S. Wayne St., Fort Recovery.

• Sarah Martz, 33, 555 Gearhart Road, was cited for operation without reasonable control after an accident on Monday at 6:26 a.m.

Martz was northbound on Main Avenue approaching the intersection at Parkwood Street when she was not able to stop at the intersection due to ice and stuck a vehicle that was stopped at the stop sign facing westbound on Parkwood Street.

The driver of the other vehicle was Rachael Allen, 24, 2426 Collins Drive.

• Joshua Wethington, 32, 1011 Chestnut Ave., was cited for failure to control after an accident on Monday at 3:05 a.m.

Joshua was traveling eastbound on state Route 29, shortly after passing the driveway of 1322 he lost control due to snow and ice on the roadway. He left the roadway and struck a power pole near the intersection of Harvard Avenue.

• Mark Bender, 34, 317 New St., was cited for red light violation after an accident on Friday at 3:22 p.m.

Bender was traveling southbound on Miami Avenue at Court Street when he failed to stop at the red light and struck a vehicle that was traveling westbound on Court Street.

The driver of the other vehicle was Robert Hurd, 28, 234 W. Court St. Hurd attempted evasive action to avoid being struck, but was not able to get out the path of Bender.

• Teresa Franklin, 59, 917 Hayes St., was cited for improper backing after an accident on Friday at 12:51 p.m.

Franklin was backing northbound from her residence when she struck a vehicle that was traveling eastbound on Hayes Street.

The driver of the other vehicle was Michael Thomas, 475 W. Parkwood.

• James Hobler, 55, 411 N. Vine St., St. Marys, was cited for improper backing after an accident on Thursday at 12:17 p.m.

Hobler was eastbound on Michigan Street stopped at the red light at the Interstate 75 northbound entrance waiting to turn left onto Interstate 75. He then backed up to let a semi that was exiting Interstate 75 have more room to turn, backing into a vehicle that was stopped behind him in the turn lane.

The driver of the other vehicle was Kyleigh Overby, 22, 15105 Wenger Road, Anna.

• Dianne Kirchner, 57, 2604 Springmill Road, Findlay, was cited for improper lane change after an accident on Thursday at 9:13 a.m.

Kirchner was traveling westbound in the left lane of travel on Michigan Street in the 1500 block when she changed lanes and struck another vehicle that was traveling westbound in the right lane of travel.

The driver of the other vehicle was Blaine Batchelder, 65, 1105 Riverbend Drive.

Fire, rescue

TUESDAY

-8:07 to 10:26 a.m.: Medics responded to five calls.

MONDAY

-4:59 to 11:26 p.m.: Medics responded to two calls.

-2:13 p.m.: Crews responded to the 900 block of Michigan Street for a general fire alarm. There was no fire; the alarm was due to burnt popcorn.

-12:47 p.m.: Medics responded to a call.

-10:54 a.m.: Crews responded to the 900 block of Michigan Avenue for a general fire alarm, there was no problem; a false alarm.

-12:52 to 7:41 a.m.: Medics responded to five calls.

SUNDAY

-9:25 a.m. to 4:24 p.m.: Medics responded to four calls.

-8:18 a.m.: Crews responded to the 1700 block of Fair Oaks Drive for a carbon monoxide detector sounding. It was a false alarm.
