TUESDAY

-11:20 p.m.: investigate complaint. Deputies investigated a report a fake check was received at 15000 Meranda Road in Franklin Township.

MONDAY

-8:43 p.m.: threats or harassment. Deputies were dispatched to 8810 North Street in Van Buren Township on the report of harassment.

-7:85 p.m.: investigate complaint. Deputies investigated a report someone was shooting in the woods near 6565 Miami Shelby Road in Loramie Township.

-6:03 p.m.: burglary in progress. Deputies responded to 4171 Paulus Road in Loramie Township on the report people were in the residence.

-5:33 p.m.: suspicious car. Deputies were dispatched to Lock Two Road at Pasco Montra Road in Jackson Township on the report a suspicious U-Haul truck was parked near the woods.

-4:44 p.m.: investigate complaint. Deputies investigated a scam complaint at 3225 Leatherwood Creek Road in Green Township.

-3:36 p.m.: investigate complaint. Deputies investigated a scam complaint at 183040 Herring Road in Salem Township.

-2:55 p.m.: property damage crash. Deputies were dispatched to the 3000 block of River Road in Orange Township on the report of a one-vehicle crash.

-12:34 p.m.: property damage crash. Deputies were dispatched to Mason Road at Pasco Montra Road in Salem Township on the report of a crash.

-1:21 a.m.: assist other unit. Deputies were dispatched to mile marker 85 on Interstate 75 in Miami County to assist OSP, Piqua Police and Miami County Sheriff’s Deputies in pursuit of a stolen vehicle from Chicago that was headed northbound. The stolen vehicle got off at the County Road 25A exit and went into Piqua. Shelby County Deputies remained in the area of the county line until the vehicle went southbound to Troy where it was stopped near the state Route 41 exit.

SUNDAY

-6:09 p.m.: investigate complaint. Deputies investigated a parking complaint in the 100 block of East Main Street in Loramie Township.

FRIDAY

-7:51 p.m.: probation violation. Virgil Anthony Hinkle, 55, 807 1/2 Brooklyn Ave., was arrested on an active Miami County warrant and a warrant through the Bellefontaine Police Department after Shelby County deputies responded to a request to remove an intoxicated male from 807 1/2 Brooklyn Ave. When deputies responded they discovered the warrants out for Hinkle’s arrest.

-10:45 p.m.: domestic violence. Craig Allan Preston, 59, 3051 Stillwater Road, Houston, was arrested for domestic violence.

Crashes

Kyler M. Pleasant, 18, 627 Fielding Road, Sidney, was cited with failure to control after a one-vehicle crash on Monday at 2:55 p.m.

Pleasant was traveling northbound on River Road when his vehicle went off the roadway to the left and hit a tree before coming to a stop.

Pleasant’s red 1990 Mazda Miata was towed from the scene by Wreckers Towing and Transport.

• No one was cited following a one-vehicle crash on Monday at 12:34 p.m.

Zachary Edwa Garrett, 20 18700 State Route 47 East, Sidney, reported that his 1999 Wrangler Jeep slid off the roadway to the south on Mason Road at Pasco Montra Road and struck a stop sign causing the sign post to become slightly bent. The visibility of the sign was not affected and there was no damage to his Jeep.

His vehicle was able to get out of the ditch without the assistance of a tow truck.

• No one was cited following a single-vehicle rollover crash on Saturday at 6:25 a.m.

Riley John Berning, 22, 15975 Staley Road, Botkins, was traveling southbound in the 17000 block of Hardin Wapak Road when he struck a deer attempting to cross the roadway. The collision caused Berning to lose control of the vehicle, slid broadside off the right side of the road, then overturn and hit a concrete drainage pipe before coming to a stop on the vehicle’s right side facing the north.

Berning’s orange 2006 Chevrolet Colorado was towed from the scene by Kennedy’s Garage.

-4:16 p.m.: drunk. Fort Loramie Police responded to the 12000 block of state Route 362 in McLean Township on the report a person in a gray car may have been drunk.

TUESDAY

-2:57 p.m.: fire. Van Buren Township Fire Department conducted a fire investigation at 7087 Amsterdam Road in Van Buren Township.

-8:13 a.m.: medical. Perry Port Salem Township Rescue and Port Jefferson Fire Department responded to the 5500 block of state Route 29 in Perry Township.

-2:44 a.m.: medical. Anna Rescue responded to the 15300 block of state Route 119 in Franklin Township.

MONDAY

-10:52 p.m.: fire. Van Buren Township Fire Department responded to a hall smoke alarm at 6009 State Route 274 in Van Buren Township.

-5:40 p.m.: medical. Anna Rescue responded to the 12500 block of Meranda Road in Franklin Township.

-1:36 p.m.: medical. Houston Rescue, Lockington Fire and Deputies responded to the 10700 block of Millcreek Road in Washington Township.

-7:05 a.m.: medical. Perry Port Salem Township Rescue responded to the 6500 block of Palestine Street in Perry Township.

SUNDAY

-7:15 p.m.: medical. Minster Life Squad responded to the 12000 block of Lotus Road in McLean Township.
