THURSDAY

-1:20 p.m.: vandalism. A vehicle was doing doughnuts in a field at Blanke and Hardin-Wapakoneta roads.

-11:56 a.m.: vehicle in ditch. A vehicle was in a ditch at West Canal Street, Port Jefferson, and Pasco-Montra Road.

-9:30 a.m.: property-damage accident. An accident involving a car and semi rig occurred in the 15000 block of state Route 274.

-7:17 a.m.: vehicle in ditch. A semi rig was in a ditch at the 86 mile marker of southbound Interstate 75.

-7:05 a.m.: vehicle in field. A vehicle went into a field in the 14000 block of Fulton Road.

-6:51 a.m.: vehicle in ditch. A vehicle was in a ditch at Mason and Scott roads.

-6:36 a.m.: vehicle in ditch. A vehicle was in a ditch at state Route 29 and Cisco Road.

-6:02 a.m.: vehicle in ditch. A vehicle was in a ditch at the 86 mile marker of southbound I-75.

WEDNESDAY

-11:34 p.m.: property-damage accident. A one-vehicle crash occurred at 14765 State Route 65.

-4:22 p.m.: accident with injuries. A vehicle hit a tree in the 3000 block of Patterson-Halpin Road. Houston Rescue, Lockington Fire and deputies responded.

-4:15 p.m.: vandalism. A vehicle was doing doughnuts in a field at 11611 Lochard Road.

SUNDAY

-10:30 a.m.: child endangering. Deputies investigated a report of a child walking in the 500 block of Frazier-Guy Road. Upon investigating, it was discovered that the child’s mother, Jessica Corner, 33, 4875 Frazier-Guy Road, Sidney, had fallen asleep and the child got out of the house. After deputies talked with the prosecutor, Corner was charged with child endangering.

-7:09 a.m.: stolen vehicle. A truck was stolen from 301 E. North St., Anna.

Accidents

An accident occurred Monday at 11:51 a.m. on Pasco-Montra Road.

Johnathan Cotterman, 33, 1842 Robert Place, was northbound on Pasco-Montra Road, south of Meranda Road, when he lost control on the icy road. His car went off the right side of the road and hit a guardrail. Cotterman had possible injuries. Perry-Port-Salem Rescue took him to Wilson Memorial Hospital.

• Another crash occurred on an icy roadway Monday at 2:54 p.m.

Justin Lehmkuhl, 25, 8505 Wright-Puthoff Road, was westbound on Cisco Road, east of Wright-Puthoff Road, when his pickup truck spun on ice. The vehicle went off the right side of the roadway and flipped, coming to rest on its passenger side. Fort Loramie Rescue responded to the crash and assisted a passenger, Phyllis Lehmkuhl, 60, 8505 Wright-Puthoff Road. She had possible injuries.

• Virgil B. Fullenkamp, 66, 7690 Cisco Road, was cited with failure to yield after an accident Monday at 3:38 p.m.

Fullenkamp was eastbound on Cardo Road and failed to yield at a stop sign at the state Route 66 intersection. His pickup truck was hit by an auto that was southbound on state Route 66. The driver of the other vehicle was James R. Anthony, 76, 210 Monterey Drive, Fort Loramie. Fort Loramie Rescue took Anthony and a passenger, Karen Anthony, 73, same address, to Wilson Memorial Hospital. They both had nonincapacitating injuries. Fullenkamp also had nonincapacitating injuries. but was not transported, according to the report.

• No citations were issued following an accident Sunday, Jan. 10, at 9:40 a.m.

Joseph B. Kuether, 63, Yorkshire, was northbound on state Route 29 approaching McCartyville Road. He lost control of the vehicle, which went off the right side of the road and struck a DP&L guide wire. The 2011 Chevrolet Equinox sustained minor damage and was towed from the scene.

• Deputies are investigating an accident in which the driver left the scene Saturday, Jan. 9, at 3:09 a.m.

The unknown driver was southbound on Kuther Road near Schenk Road. The vehicle went off the right side of the road and struck a utility pole. The vehicle then went back onto the road and went off the left side of the road. The vehicle spun 180 degrees and came to rest in a field. The driver then left the scene.

A hold has been placed on the Chevrolet Silverado pickup truck. Contact was made with the owner of the truck and the deputy is waiting to talk to him.

• No citations were issued following an accident Friday at 8:28 a.m. on Fessler-Buxton Road.

Logan Montgomery Ayers, 17, of Russia, was eastbound on Fessler-Buxton Road when he lost control on the icy road. The vehicle spun around and went off the south side of the road, striking several trees before stopping.

The 2004 Ford Ranger, owned by Amy J. Ayers, Russia, was disabled in the accident and towed from the scene.

• Benjamin Thomas Patton, 30, Galloway, was westbound in the 600 block of Stoker Road when he lost control on the ice-covered road. The vehicle went off the road and struck several mailboxes.

His 2008 Ford F Series 4X4 sustained moderate damage.

• Carmen Elaine Ahrns, 16, Marysville, was eastbound on Canal Road Friday at 8:15 a.m. when her vehicle entered a patch of ice near the curve to the north. The vehicle went off the road when she was unable to negotiate the curve. The vehicle struck a tree. The 2006 Pontiac G6, owned by Emerson K. Ahrns, 8274 State Route 66, Fort Loramie, sustained minor damage.

• An ice-covered road contributed to a one-vehicle accident Friday at 7:57 a.m.

Bryan Freshour, 22, 5586 Wright-Puthoff Road, Sidney, was traveling east in the 9000 block of Fessler-Buxton Road when he lost control of his vehicle due to ice. He was negotiating a curve and the vehicle went off the south side of the road, striking a fence. The 2000 Chevrolet Malibu sustained moderate damage.

• No citations were issued following an accident Friday, Jan. 8, at 5:38 a.m.

Daniel W. Nichols, 36, 2300 Fessler-Buxton Road, Russia, was eastbound in the 4000 block of Fessler-Buxton Road when he lost control on the ice-covered roadway. The vehicle slid off the right side of the road, spun counterclockwise and struck a tree.

The 2008 Ford F250 Series received moderate damage and was towed from the scene.

• No citations was issued following a Sidney City Schools bus accident Friday, Jan. 8, at 3:59 p.m.

David H. Dicke, 57, of 597 Spyglass Court, Sidney, was attempting to turn around the bus and had pulled onto Brown Road from Kirkwood Road. He started backing up and the bus made light contact with a utility pole, breaking the left side red rear light and yellow turn signal light covers.

There were students on the bus and no one was injured.

The bus sustained minor damage.

Fire, rescue

THURSDAY

-11:05 a.m.: medical. Houston Rescue was called to the 10000 block of Millcreek Road.

-10:13 a.m.: medical. Anna Rescue was called to Honda, 12500 Meranda Road.

WEDNESDAY

-7:42 p.m.: medical. Anna Rescue was called to the 600 block of East College Street, Jackson Center.

-6:34 p.m.: medical. Anna Rescue was called to the 300 block of South Mill Street, Botkins.

-5:42 p.m.: mutual aid. Lockington Fire provided mutual aid at 8610 Piqua-Lockington Road in Miami County.
