3 teens hurt in Monday morning crash

SIDNEY — Three teenagers were transported to Wilson Hospital after the vehicle they were in crashed in the 2000 block of River Road early Monday morning.

The crash, which happened at approximately 7:44 a.m., ejected one of the teens from the vehicle.

Jayce Lemaster, 18, Sidney, the driver, was traveling northbound on River Road at a high rate of speed. He then lost control on the roadway and ran off the roadway to the right, according to the accident report. He then over-corrected, came back onto the roadway, crossed the center line, went off the left side of the roadway and struck a tree. The car then spun off the tree and came back into the roadway ejecting the left rear passenger out the right rear window and then came to rest off the left side of the roadway.

Lemaster and passenger Trevor Chase, 17, Sidney, had possible injuries and were taken by Sidney Medics to Wilson. Jacob Wade, 16, Sidney, had non-incapacitating injuries and was taken by Houston Rescue to Wilson.

The 1994 Honda Accord involved in the crash was registered to Billie Jean Yohannes, 301 Enterprise St.

The crash is still being investigated and no one has been cited yet.
