THURSDAY

-11:03 a.m.: theft. Deputies investigated the report of credit card fraud in the 4000 block of Johns Road.

-1:47 a.m.: property damage accident. Deputies responded to Fort Loramie Swanders Road at Luthman Road for an accident.

WEDNESDAY

-3:58 p.m.: burglary. Deputies investigated the theft of items from a house in the 1000 block of Dingman-Slagle Road.

-2:18 p.m.: burglary. Deputies responded to the 3000 block of MillCreek Road on the report of a male trying to gain entrance into a residence.

TUESDAY

-2:24 p.m.: trespassing. Botkins and Jackson Center Police, and Deputies responded to the Budget Host Inn on the report of a subject that was not supposed to be on the property.

-9:32 a.m.: property damage accident. Deputies responded to the 22000 block of Lock Two Road for a two vehicle accident.

-8:09 a.m.: property damage accident. Deputies responded to Lock Two Road at Morris Road Road for a vehicle that slid off the road and hit a tree.

-12:27 a.m.: theft. Deputies responded to the 17000 block of Herring Road on the report of a model car being stolen from a basement.

SUNDAY

-4:45 p.m.: property damage accident. Deputies responded to West Main Street at South Pike Street for a two vehicle accident.

FEB. 7

-5:58 a.m.: credit card misuse. Chester Lee Hickman, 210 E. Main St., Port Jefferson, reported he was contacted by his bank about charges made on his credit card in Indiana. He told deputies he only uses the credit card at the Walmart gas station in Sidney. Two transactions were made at a Meijer’s in Indiana. One was for $108 and the other was $100.

FEB. 6

-1:11 p.m.: theft without consent. Joel Glass, 7625 Dawson Road, Fort Loramie, reported his bank contacted him about two charges made on his credit card in Indiana. The bank will be looking into the incidents. The bank asked Glass to contact the Sheriff’s Office about the incident.

-12:59 p.m.: theft. A juvenile was charged with theft without consent after allegedly taking a Notebook from Anna Middle School.

TUESDAY

-4:27 p.m.: theft. Jackson Center Police responded to the 200 block of South Main Street on the report of the theft of an iPod.

-3 p.m.: vandalism. Botkins Police Chief responded to the Community Park on the report of vandalism.

Accidents

Tanner Hindall, 18, 310, E. State St., Botkins, was transported to Joint Township District Memorial Hospital by New Bremen EMS for incapacitating injuries after an accident on Wednesday at 7:41 a.m.

Hindall was traveling west on Botkins Road, too fast for the icy road conditions, when he traveled off the right side of the roadway, struck a ditch, then overturned in a field.

• Emily Albers, 16, 7500 Amsterdam Road, Anna, was transported to Wilson Hospital by Anna Rescue for possible injuries after an accident on Wednesday at 7:38 a.m.

Albers was slowing, eastbound, at the intersection of Meranda and Wenger Road when the vehicle began to slide on ice. She ran off the south side of the road and struck a utility pole, causing no damage to the pole. The vehicle came to rest facing south with its back end partially on the road.

• Amanda Garrett, 29, 10841 Mohawk Court, was transported to Wilson Hospital by Sidney Medics for non-incapacitating injuries after an accident on Sunday at 4:58 p.m.

Garrett was traveling north in the 2000 block of Fair Road attempting to negotiate a right curve in the roadway when she began to slide in the freshly fallen snow and lost control causing the vehicle to slide sideways off the right side of the roadway, striking a DP&L utility pole and flipping on its side.

• No citations were issued following a two-vehicle accident Sunday, Feb. 14, at 1:57 p.m.

Royal K. Simmons, 42, of Fort Bend, Texas, was northbound on state Route 29 and had stopped for the stop sign at state Route 274. Jerry A. Wolfe, 58, of 203 E. German St., New Knoxville, was also northbound on state Route 29 and had stopped behind Simmons’s vehicle.

Simmons said he could not see the westbound traffic clearly and backed up at the intersection to see the traffic more clearly. Simmons’ vehicle struck the front of Wolfe’s vehicle with its trailer causing damage to Wolfe’s vehicle.

• Patrick Allen Miller, 49, of Piqua, was cited for driving while under the influence following a one-vehicle accident Saturday, Feb. 13, at 6:23 p.m.

Miller was southbound in the 7000 block of Dawson Road when he lost control of the vehicle, which traveled off the right side of the road. The vehicle struck a Pioneer power pole.

Miller was transported to Wilson Hospital by Fort Loramie Rescue Squad.

His 1999 Jeep was disabled and towed from the scene.

-9:34 a.m.: medical. Fort Loramie Rescue responded to the 8000 block of Patterson-Haplin Road.

-8:53 a.m.: medical. Fort Loramie Rescue responded to the 11000 block of state Route 29.

-8:04 a.m.: medical. Perry-Port-Salem Rescue responded to the 6000 block of Main Street.

-1:16 a.m.: accident with injuries. Fort Loramie Rescue and Fire and Deputies responded to Fort Loramie Swanders Road at Luthman Road for a one-vehicle accident involving a pole.

WEDNESDAY

-8:35 p.m.: accident with injuries. Anna Rescue, Botkins Fire, and Botkins Police responded to the 104 mile marker on Interstate 75 for an accident.

-6:42 p.m.: medical. Fort Loramie Rescue and Police, and Deputies responded to the 12000 block of Thelma Drive.

-3:36 p.m.: medical. Anna Rescue and Sidney EMS responded to Honda.

-2:26 p.m.: medical. Anna Rescue and Botkins Police responded to the 18000 block of Kentner Road.

-6:57 a.m.: accident. Perry-Port-Salem Rescue, Port Jefferson Fire, and deputies responded to the 4000 block of state Route 29 for a one-vehicle accident involving a guard rail.

-5:41 p.m.: accident with injuries. New Bremen Rescue, New Knoxville Fire, and deputies responded to state Route 29 at Botkins Road for a two vehicle accident. A vehicle was westbound on Botkins Road when they drove through a stop sign, into the path of a vehicle traveling northbound on state Route 29. The driver of the vehicle at fault was transported to Joint Township District Memorial Hospital.
