THURSDAY

-5:25 p.m.: theft. The passenger’s side door handle on a black 200o Chevrolet was reported broken and the theft of a tackle box, valued at $50, five bags of river rocks, valued at $20, and a fishing rod and reel, valued at $80, were reported stolen from that vehicle while it was parked at 216 Pike St.

Crashes

Jane A. Lehmkuhle, 57, of Minster, was cited with assured clear distance ahead following a two-vehicle crash on Thursday at 5:12 p.m.

Lehmkuhle was traveling southbound on County Road 25A when she struck the rear of the vehicle in traffic in front of her at the intersection of West Russell Road that was driven by Leah A. Mounts, 23, 3845 Freeman Road.

• Rachel L. Hamblin, 32, 509 Forest St., was cited with right of way at intersections after a two-vehicle crash on private property on Wednesday at 8:32 a.m.

Hamblin was traveling westbound on Grove Street, stopped at the stop sign at Sixth Avenue and then proceeded forward and struck a northbound vehicle on Sixth Avenue Street that was going through the intersection.

The other vehicle was driven by Marisa A. Strunk, 23, 1631 Ash Place.

• Samantha Troy, 22, 615 N. Ohio Ave., was cited with driving through a safety zone after a one-vehicle crash on Wednesday at 7:15 a.m.

Troy was northbound in the north-south alley near the intersection of Pike Street, which she knew was closed due to construction. Troy continued northbound in the alleyway and failed to stop for the cones and the large trench and drove into the trench and got stuck. Her vehicle sustained damage and had to be lifted out of the trench by a tow truck.
