WEDNESDAY

-2:06 a.m.: unauthorized use of motor vehicle. Eric Webster, 1244 Hancock St., reported a person did not return a work truck.

-12:09 a.m.: driving under the influence. Police arrested Devin R. Johnson, 29, of Piqua, at Court Street and West Avenue on a charge of driving under the influence.

TUESDAY

-12:14 p.m.: theft. Personnel at the Kroger Fuel Stop reported a woman pumped $5 worth of gas and left without paying.

MONDAY

-10:38 a.m.: theft and criminal damaging. Patricia Wood, 219 1/2 E. Court St., reported her vehicle had been stolen and recovered. The steering column and a taillight lens cover were damaged. Loss was $75.

Accidents

Cheryl Koewler, 65, 2377 Miami Conservancy Road, was cited with a marked lanes violation after an accident Friday at 12:34 p.m.

Koewler, driving a pickup truck, was southbound on Ohio Avenue and turned left onto Washington Street. Christopher A. Fisher, 31, of Piqua, also driving a pickup truck, was southbound on Ohio at Washington and hit the Koewler vehicle in the rear. Witnesses told police Koewler was in the wrong lane and turned in front of Fisher.

• William Wion, 50, 726 Oak Ave., was cited with improper backing after an accident Tuesday at 11:38 a.m.

Wion was parked in the 200 block of South West Avenue, backed up, and hit a car that was pulling from a parking lot. The driver of the other auto was Shannon Smith, 44, 16401 Meranda Road, Anna.

Fire, rescue

WEDNESDAY

-12:45 to 7:29 a.m.: Medics responded to three calls.

TUESDAY

-11:52 a.m. to 10:06 p.m.: Medics responded to six calls.

-6:47 p.m.: open burn. Firefighters were called to an open burn in the 400 block of Jefferson St.
