MONDAY  

-1:16 p.m.: contempt. Derrick Lewis Thomas Deal, 40, of Sidney, was arrested on a contempt warrant.

-12:44 p.m.: contempt. Beverly A. Frazier, 53, of Sidney, was arrested on an outstanding contempt warrant after she turned herself in at the Sidney Municipal Court.

-12:59 p.m.: identity theft. An identity theft was reported in the 100 block of Genini Drive.

-10:47 a.m.: failure to pay city taxes. James Phillips II, 27, of Sidney, was issued a summons for failure to pay city taxes.

-10:39 a.m.: criminal damaging. A garage door was damaged at a property in the 400 block of East Poplar Street.

FRIDAY

-8:53 a.m.: theft. A theft in the amount of $400 was reported at the Shelby County Sheriff’s Office on Gearhart Road.

March 4

-8:58 a.m.: identity theft. An identity theft was reported in the 300 block of Maple Street.

Crashes

A two-vehicle crash on Monday at 7:35 p.m. is under investigation.

Myla M. Cox, 17, of Quincy, was stopped facing the east at a red light on Michigan Street when she made a right turn on red to go southbound onto South Vandemark Road she was hit just south of the intersection by a vehicle facing the west that was turning left from Michigan Street onto South Vandemark Road.

The other vehicle was driven by Linda Hume, 62, of Sidney.

According to the crash report the incident is under investigation pending a review with the law director.

• Addison E. Payne, 16, of Sidney, was cited with assured clear distance ahead after a two-vehicle crash on Monday at 4:02 p.m.

Payne was traveling westbound on West Russell Road when she hit the rear of the stopped vehicle in front of her that was driven by Andrew Cotterman, 26, of Sidney.

• Ariel M. King, of Sidney, was cited with obstructing view and control of driver-opening door into moving traffic following a two-vehicle crash on Monday at 7:32 p.m.

King was sitting in the parked vehicle facing the south in the 200 block of Dayton Avenue when he opened his door and hit the left front of the southbound passing vehicle that was driven by Ciara Morgan Huggins, 25, of Sidney.
