Police log

THURSDAY

-8:55 p.m.: theft. Jody Rork, 56, 508 Franklin Ave., reported he was scammed during an Internet transaction.

-4:06 p.m.: burglary. Jacqueline Shaffer, 32, 512 Plum Ridge Trail, 32, reported someone took a red snow blower, a yellow drill and an impact wrench out of her garage.

-1:14 p.m.: contempt. Police arrested Betty Littlefield, 47, 805 Arrowhead Drive, Apt. H, on an outstanding warrant out of Sidney Municipal Court.

-12 a.m.: criminal trespass. Police arrested Robert Barga, 39, 611 Chestnut Ave., for criminal trespass, menacing, and disorderly conduct.

WEDNESDAY

-2:40 p.m.: found property. A chainsaw, leaf blower, weed eater, and circular saw were found under the bridge at Spruce Avenue.

Accidents

Aurian Martin, 17, 331 Jefferson St., was cited for no operators license after an accident on Thursday at 12:13 p.m.

Martin was traveling eastbound in the Arby’s parking lot on Michigan Street when she struck the rear of a vehicle that was parked in the parking lot. Martin then left the scene. Through investigation, Martin was located and cited.

• Douglas Stangel, 65, 9501 Stangel Road, was cited for improper backing after an accident on Thursday at 9:40 a.m.

Stangel was backing attempting to park in front of 107 E. Court Street when he struck a vehicle behind his vehicle.

The driver of the other vehicle was Jimmie Murphy, 33, 901 Norwood Drive.

• Michele Lundy, 44, of Piqua, was cited for operating a vehicle under the influence, OVI refusal, and traffic control device (traffic light) after an accident on Wednesday at 10 p.m.

Lundy traveling westbound on state Route 47 when she failed to stop for the red light and struck a vehicle that was turning left onto state Route 47 from Folkerth Avenue. Lundy was transported to the police department for a field sobriety test. She failed the test and refused to give a breath sample. She was then transported the the Shelby County Sheriff’s Office.

The driver of the other vehicle was Jeffrey Scholl, 57, 9730 Pasco-Montra Road. Michele had minor facial injuries from air bag deployment, no other injuries were reported.

Fire, rescue

FRIDAY

-5:48 a.m.: Medics responded to a call.

THURSDAY

-11:28 a.m. to 9:06 p.m.: Medics responded to four calls.

-11:17 a.m.: Crews responded to the 700 block of Oak Street for a fire alarm. It was accidental, caused by cooking.

-9:03 to 10:52 a.m.: Medics responded to three calls.
