Nov. 7
-12:20 a.m.: crime in progress. Michael E. McClellan, 35, of Jackson Center, was cited with vandalism after he threw a chair at a window in an interview room in the Shelby County Jail, ultimately cracking the window.

-8:24 a.m.: property damage. Botkins Police responded to property damage in the 300 block of East State Street.
Crashes
No one was cited after a two-vehicle crash on Nov. 8 at 5:05 p.m.
Albert J. Bey, 50, of Versailles, was traveling southbound on East Main Street in Port Jefferson approaching a traffic light and William L. Inman, 51, of Kenton, was behind him. Inman said he did not see Bey because of the sunlight coming through his windshield and rear-ended him.
• Kenneth Michael Fisher, 17, of Wapakoneta, was cited with assured clear distance after a two-vehicle crash on Nov. 8 at 7:38 a.m.
Cody A. Wagner, 31, of Anna, was stopped in the roadway behind a school bus with its lights activated while traveling southbound on County Road 25A when Fisher failed to see Wagner and rear-ended him. Fisher then went into a ditch off the side of the road. The Anna Rescue Squad evaluated both parties for possible injuries.
• Brandy Marie Desamour, 24, of Cincinnati, was cited with reasonable control after a one-vehicle crash on Nov. 5 at 5:13 p.m.
Desamour was traveling southbound on Interstate 75 when she lost control, drove off the left side of the roadway and struck the median cable barrier.
