Accident

Jerry W. Adams, 68, 8700 Lochard Road, was cited with failure to stop for a malfunctioning traffic light after an accident Saturday at 6:22 p.m.

The traffic light at the intersection of Michigan Street and Vandemark Road was not operating because of a power failure. Other drivers said Adams failed to stop at the intersection when it was another vehicle’s turn to proceed after stopping. Kelly Lambdin, 24, 728 Countryside Lane, Apt. 12, stopped northbound on Vandemark, and when it was her turn to go, she entered the intersection. Her auto hit the Adams pickup truck, which was eastbound on Michigan. This caused the truck to hit cars driven by Kathi Harvey, 59, of Cincinnati, and Barbara Walter, 70, 632 Folkerth Ave., Lot 35, that were stopped westbound on Michigan. The Walter auto was pushed into a car that was stopped westbound in an adjacent lane of Michigan. That car was driven by Bradley Immerman, 39, 4815 Johns Road, Houston. A passenger from the Harvey auto, Jeanne Harvey, 81, 1003 Fair Road, had possible injuries. Sidney Fire & Emergency Services took her to Wilson Memorial Hospital.
