THURSDAY

-4:19 a.m.: criminal damaging. Richard Osborne, 303 S. Miami Ave., reported someone threw a rock through the glass panes of a screen door. Loss was $50.

-3:58 a.m.: property found. A bicycle found at 121 Brooklyn Ave. was given to police.

WEDNESDAY

-10:31 p.m.: assault. Aaron Reed, of Dayton, reported he was assaulted. He had a minor injury.

-7:53 p.m.: theft. Beth Griffieth, 508 S. Miami Ave., reported a cell phone, valued at $150, was stolen from her residence.

-6:45 p.m.: assault. A woman reported her juvenile grandson was assaulted in the 800 block of Michigan Street. He had an apparent minor injury.

-5:53 p.m.: contempt. Police arrested Tiffany N. Davis, 26, of Piqua, on a warrant.

-5:04 p.m.: contempt. Police arrested Ida B. Mills, 21, 1579 E. Court St., Apt. B, on a warrant.

-4:16 p.m.: theft and receiving stolen property. Joshua Scott, 702 S. Miami Ave., reported the theft of two lawnmowers, valued at $40, from his residence.

-2:05 p.m.: property found. Two bicycles left in the yard at 826 Broadway Ave. were given to police.

-1:32 p.m.: theft. Georgia Spears, 402 E. Court St., reported a Kindle, valued at $200, was stolen from her residence.

TUESDAY

-7:32 p.m.: assault. An altercation was reported at Brooklyn Avenue and Court Street. Injured were Matthew Reed, 1246 Apple Blossom Lane; Harry Carey, 627 E. Court St.; and Aaron Lawson, 522 E. Court St.

MONDAY

-7:08 p.m.: theft. Michael Fryman, 1001 Fourth Ave., Lot 39, reported the theft of a bicycle, valued at $500.

SATURDAY

-12:09 a.m.: property found. A bicycle was found at 132 W. North St. and given to police.

JULY 17

-7:43 p.m.: breaking and entering. Sean Rank, 702 McKinley Ave., reported someone entered his unattached garage. Nothing was missing.

Accidents

Thomas Ray, 60, of Springfield, was cited with making an improper lane change after an accident Monday at 2:58 p.m.

Ray, driving a dump truck, was northbound in the left lane of Vandemark Road, north of Fair Road. He was attempting to merge right and struck a car that was northbound in the right lane. The driver of the other auto was Sierra Palacios, 19, 1107 East Ave.

• An accident occurred Tuesday at 2:49 p.m. in the 2200 block of Michigan Street.

Garrett Eilerman, 19, 2270 Loy Road, Fort Loramie, who was driving a pickup truck, told police he was eastbound and merged into the left-turn lane when allowed to by the street markings. He did not know a semi rig was in that lane and collided with the semi. Eilerman said the semi was in the lane before allowed. The driver of the semi, Gillespie Roosevelt, 37, of Tinley Park, Illinois, told police Eilerman merged into the lane without looking. Police did not cite anyone.

• Heli Yin, 49, of Greenfield, Wisconsin, was cited with making an improper left turn after an accident Tuesday at 3:50 p.m.

Yin was northbound in the left lane of Main Avenue and turned left at Water Street into a car that was northbound in the left lane of the one-way street. The driver of the other auto was Caralee Brown, 18, 3265 Leatherwood Creek Road.

• Robin Carr, 39, 6668 Main St., Pemberton, was cited with failure to maintain an assured clear distance after an accident Wednesday at 3:37 p.m.

Carr was eastbound on Fair Road and struck the rear of a car that was stopped at a red traffic light at Chase Avenue. The driver of the other car was Erin Inman, 18, 12521 Hardin-Wapakoneta Road, Anna. Inman had possible injuries. Sidney Fire & Emergency Services responded to the crash, but did not transport Inman.

Fire, rescue

THURSDAY

-1:45 a.m. to 1:01 p.m.: Medics responded to four calls.

WEDNESDAY

-11:33 a.m. to 10:33 p.m.: Medics were responded to 11 calls.

-7:05 p.m.: fire. Firefighters were called to the 1600 block of Ferguson Court to extinguish fire in ductwork.
