Sheriff’s log

THURSDAY

-11:07 p.m.: property damage accident. Deputies were dispatched to the railroad crossing at East Mason Road on the report of a property damage accident.

-9:43 p.m.: investigative complaint. Deputies were dispatched to 5711 Knoop Johnston Road in Perry Township on the report of shooting being heard in the area.

-6:23 p.m.: investigative complaint. Deputies were dispatched to 13122 Thaman Road in Van Buren Township on the report of a possible scam.

-5:57 p.m.: investigative complaint. Deputies were dispatched to 315 W. Main St. in Salem Township on a parking complaint of someone blocking a driveway.

-11:07 p.m.: property damage accident. Deputies were dispatched to Hathaway Road at Miami Conservancy Road in Washington Township on the report of a truck rear-ending a vehicle.

-3:49 p.m.: property damage accident. Deputies were dispatched to 201 W. Canal St. in Salem Township on the report of a rock being thrown from a mower cutting grass by accident at a car.

WEDNESDAY

-8:24 p.m.: accidental shooting. Jerrod Pahssen, 33, 222 N. West Ave., reported he was in the rear parking lot of Houston High School loading items into his vehicle when he felt a sharp pain in his leg.

Pahssen saw two boys outside of the yard of a residence in the 5000 block of Smith Road with a BB gun entering a home. When police arrived and responded to the residence, the grandmother of one of the boys said she sent her grandson outside to shoot a rabbit causing a nuisance. She said the BB may have hit something causing it to ricochet and strike Pahssen’s leg. The boy said he did not intentionally shoot at anyone.

Pahssen went to Wilson Health to have the BB removed from his leg. The boy’s grandmother gave her name and number to the police and said she would pay the medical bills.

Fire, rescue

FRIDAY

-2:56 p.m.: medical. Lockington Fire Department was dispatched to Miami County on the report of a two-vehicle accident with unknown injuries.

-1:02 p.m.: medical. Fort Loramie Rescue and Deputies responded to the 8000 block of Galley Road in Cynthian Township.

THURSDAY

-10:45 p.m.: medical. Anna Rescue, Fort Loramie Rescue, Sidney Fire Department and Deputies responded to Kuther Road and West Mason Road on the report of a crash with injuries.

-5:19 p.m.: medical. Anna Rescue responded to the 1800 block of state Route 65 in Jackson Township.
