TUESDAY

-6:12 a.m.: K-9 narcotics search. Deputies conducted a K-9 narcotics search at the Sheriff’s Office on Gearhart Road.

MONDAY

-11:33 p.m.:suspicious car. Deputies were dispatched to the Lockington Dam in Washington Township on the report of an SUV driving past the gates up to the damn.

-10:49 a.m.: vandalism. Deputies were dispatched to the Country Concert on state Route 66 in Cynthian Township on the report of a window broken out of a vehicle.

-9:26 a.m.: suspicious person. Deputies were dispatched to the 11000 block of state Route 29 in Turtle Creek Township on the report of a suspicious person who came to the residence’s door.

-12:04 a.m.: suspicious car. Deputies were dispatched to Fort Loramie Swanders Road and Wright Puthoff Road on the report of a suspicious car sitting at the stop sign for 30 minutes.

FRIDAY

-5:32 p.m.: theft. Mark Kimbler, 53, of Sidney, reported someone took an 8-inch battery operated light-up cross from a tombstone at Port Jefferson’s Glen Cemetery.

-11:47 a.m.: disorderly conduct. Dylan Mauder, 19, of Northwood, Ohio, was charged with disorderly conduct at Country Concert. He was attempting to slice a watermelon in the air with a machete when the machete slipped out of his hands flying into a nearby campsite and slicing a campers arm. The victim, Madeline Duwve, 18, of Oregon, Ohio, was transported to Wilson Hospital for treatment.

-1:07 a.m.: disorderly conduct. Colin Blymyer, 23, of Huntsville, Ohio, was arrested for persistent disorderly conduct at Country Concert.

SUNDAY

-7:01 p.m.: theft. Botkins Police were dispatched to the Inn Between Tavern on County Road 25A in Dinsmore Township on the report of a missing purse that was unintentionally left behind.

Accidents

Russell Brelsford, 32, Piqua, was cited with failure to yield at stop or yield after an accident on Monday at 2:01 p.m.

Brelsford was headed southbound on Kuther Road stopped at the intersection of Millcreek Road when he continued across Millcreek Road and struck another vehicle traveling eastbound that he failed to see. The vehicles collided and continued southeast striking and damaging a power pole before coming to a rest.

The driver of the other vehicle was Terry Little, 45, 2299 River Road. Little and his four passengers were taken to Wilson Health by Sidney Medics. He was also cited for driving under suspension.

• Loretta Smith, 41, 10465 Yellow Knife Trail, Lockington, was cited for failure to control, after an accident on Thursday at 4:28 p.m.

She was traveling south east on East Lockington Road attempting to negotiate a right hand curve in the road when she failed to maintain control while in the curve and began to slide sideways, and ran off the east side of the roadway, striking a power pole and coming to rest off the roadway.

• Westly McVety, 21, 141 E. Sixth St., Minster, was involved with an accident on Thursday at 3:20 p.m.

He was traveling southbound on Main Street when the vehicle in front of him attempted to turn left onto Fort Loramie-Swanders Road. McVety said he did not see the turn signal and struck the vehicle in the rear.

The driver of the other vehicle was Maurice Bornhorst, 45, 33 S. Main St., Fort Loramie.

• There was an accident on Wednesday, July 6, at 4:29 p.m.

Alexandra Bowling, 25, 5220 Cecil Road, was traveling westbound on state Route 47 and when attempting to make a left turn onto Cecil Road was struck by another vehicle attempting to turn left onto Cecil after passing a van near the intersection of Cecil and state Route 47. Bowling was sideswiped as the vehicles were turning.

The driver of the other vehicle was Patrick Eichelberger, 47, Greenville.

• There was an accident on Wednesday, July 6, at 11:53 a.m.

Edward Fischer, 74, Loveland, was stopped at the intersection of Industrial Drive and state Route 66 and then attempted to turn northbound onto state Route 66 in the path of another vehicle when he was struck in the rear.

The driver of the other vehicle was Ann Bergman, 63, Minster.

Fire, rescue

MONDAY

-9:18 p.m.: accident with injuries. Anna Rescue and Botkins Fire Department responded to Hardin Wapakoneta Road and Southland Road on the report of a motorcycle accident.

-9:13 p.m.: accident with injuries. Fort Loramie Rescue, Jaw of Life and Fire Department and Deputies responded to Russell Road and Wright Puthoff Road on the report of an auto accident.

-4:23 p.m.: fire. Botkins Fire Department and Police responded to 402 W. South St. in Dinsmore Township on the report of an odor of gas.

-4:14 p.m.: medical. Anna Rescue responded to the 15000 block of state Route 119 in Franklin Township.

-7:39 p.m.: medical. Anna Rescue responded to the 12000 block of Meranda Road in Franklin Township.

SUNDAY

-4:27 p.m.: medical. Perry Port Salem Rescue responded to the 17000 Sidney Plattsville Road in Green Township.

Sidney medics removed a vicitm from a pickup truck following a two-vehicle accident at the intersection of Kuther and Millcreek roads Monday just after 2 p.m. Terry Little, 45, of Sidney, and four passengers were taken to Wilson Health following the accident. The driver of the other vehicle, who was cited with failure to yield at stop or yield, was Russell Brelsford, 32, Piqua.
