BOTKINS — A Wapakoneta man was injured in a motorcycle crash Sunday on Hardin Wapakoneta Road in Van Buren Township.

According to the Ohio State Highway Patrol, Piqua Post, Paul T. Brookhart, 24, of Wapakoneta, was transported by LifeFlight St. Vincent/St. Rita’s to St. Rita’s Medical Center in Lima with serious visible injuries.

Brookhart was traveling southbound on Hardin Wapakoneta Road when he failed to negotiate a curve to the left. The motorcycle traveled off the west edge. Brookhart lost control of the motorcycle and it struck a ditch. As it overturned, Brookhart was ejected from the motorcycle.

Anna Rescue, Botkins Fire and Van Buren Fire departments also responded to the scene.

The motorcycle was removed from the scene by Meyer’s Towing Service.

The crash remains under investigation.
