MONDAY

-11:57 p.m.: criminal simulation. Al’s Pizza on Wapakoneta Avenue reported the business received three counterfeit $20 bills.

-5:20 p.m.: theft. Dwayne Valentine, 37, 121 W. Poplar St., Apt. 603, was arrested for theft after Walmart on Michigan Street reported the theft of a Boost Mobile cell phone, valued at $39.64.

-1:51 p.m.: warrant. John Stricker, 87, of Houston, was arrested on a warrant.

-10:26 a.m.: theft. Walmart on Michigan Street reported the theft of four pairs of athletic shorts.

SUNDAY

-6:53 p.m.: assault. Amanda Couchot, 35, 119 Dallas St., was arrested for assault.

-4:24 p.m.: theft. Amy Cramer, 30, 811 Arrowhead Drive, Apt. B, reported the attempted theft of her Samsung Galaxy J3 cellphone.

-3:15 p.m.: criminal damaging. Tiffany Bensman, 28, 1663 Fairoaks Drive, reported the passenger’s side of her vehicle and passenger’s side mirror were damaged.

-1:01 p.m.: found property. A black leather wallet belonging to Donald King Sr. containing his Social Security card and birth certificate was found and turned into the police department.

-10:18 a.m.: domestic violence. Clinton Cramer, 27, 811 Arrowhead Drive, Apt. B, was arrested for domestic violence.

-6:59 a.m.: theft. Shane Brining, 32, 823 Norwood Ave., reported the theft of $288 and that someone also closed out his bank account when withdrawing the money.

-6:14 a.m.: theft. Charlotte Meyer, 44, Houston, reported damage to the rear passenger’s side window of her vehicle at American Trim on Michigan Street and the theft of the black purse belonging to Amy Pry, 39, Houston, containing a wallet and personal cards and cosmetics.

-1:25 a.m.: domestic violence. Brandon Sibert, 23, 918 McKinley Ave., was arrested for domestic violence.

-12:07 a.m.: criminal damaging. Kevin Cavender, 49, 730 N. Miami Ave., reported damage to the rear window of his vehicle.

SATURDAY

-6:53 p.m.: theft. Carol Inman, 73, 220 E. South Street, Apt. C, reported the theft of a black cigarette pack, a house key and $30.50 from her residence.

-10:04 a.m.: theft. Rachel Ratliff, 33, 329 Sixth Ave., reported someone entered her vehicle and took her purse containing $220, a silver and diamond ring valued at $2000, an Efexxor prescription pill and some personal cards.

-8:58 a.m.: contempt. Dillon Petty, 22, 995 Buckeye Ave., was arrested for contempt.

-3:04 a.m.: driving under the influence. Samuel Jackson, 46, 1202 Rees Drive, was arrested for OVI.

-2:02 a.m.: criminal mischief. Trentney Smith, 36, 415 Summit St., reported eggs were thrown at the rear of the residence.

-1:40 a.m.: criminal damaging. Brandlynn Flournoy, 25, 823 Norwood Ave., reported someone threw a rock through his window.

FRIDAY

-7:17 p.m.: telephone harassment. Christina Thomas, 36, 1199 Apple Blossom Lane, reported telephone harassment by someone who was told not to contact her.

-11:58 a.m.: lost property. Edward Groom, 68, 2400 Wapakoneta Ave., Apt. 17, reported losing his checkbook with a blue cover.

Aug. 28

-1:25 a.m.: obstructing official business. Jason Moton, 51, 508 ½ S. West Ave., was arrested for obstructing official business.

Crashes

Michelle Case, 45, 2400 Wapakoneta Ave., Lot 10, was cited for assured clear distance ahead after a two vehicle-collision on Monday at 3:24 p.m.

Case was traveling westbound on West Russell Road and hit the rear of a vehicle stopped in traffic on West Russell Road.

The driver of the other vehicle was by Theresa Holscher, 50, of Fort Loramie.

• Scott Sanders, 46, of Fort Loramie, was cited for assured clear distance ahead after a two-vehicle collision on Sunday at 5:29 p.m.

Sanders was traveling eastbound on West Russell Road and hit the rear of a vehicle stopped in traffic at a light on West Russell Road at St. Marys Avenue.

The driver of the other vehicle was by Beverly Brown, 59, 219 Doering St.

• Tim Elsass, 42, of Quincy, was cited with assured clear distance ahead after a two-vehicle collision on Friday at 4:38 p.m.

Elsass was headed eastbound on state Route 47 at the intersection of Stolle Avenue when he failed to stop at the traffic light and rear-ended the vehicle driven by Ben Breinich, 32, 325 East North St., that was stopped in front of him at the light.

• April Highley, 42, 17290 Sidney-Platsville Road, was cited for stop sign after a two-vehicle crash on Friday at 4:26 p.m.

Highley was stopped and facing southbound at the stop sign on Lester Avenue at the intersection of Michigan Street when she began to enter the intersection to make a left turn she was struck by another vehicle on the left side that was traveling westbound on Michigan Street.

Highley indicated a possible injury to her right hand, her left eye and of chest pain. She was transported by Sidney Fire Department to Wilson Health.

The driver of the other vehicle was Nickoel Barhorst, 39, of Fort Loramie.

• Ava Money, 16, 331 E. Pinehurst St., was cited for driving in response to stop and yield signs after a two-vehicle crash on Friday at 7:12 a.m.

Money was stopped at the stop sign on East Pinehurst Street when she began to turn northbound onto Broadway Avenue and pulled out in front of the vehicle driven by Michael Stewart, 56, 2202 N. Broadway Ave., that had swerved into the southbound lane to try and avoid Money’s vehicle, but was struck on the front passenger side.

• Clinton Rupert, 37, of Wapakoneta, was cited with right of way turning left after a two-vehicle collision on Friday at 6:20 a.m.

Rupert was traveling eastbound on state Route 47 attempting to make a left turn onto Interstate 75 northbound when he failed to yield to the vehicle driven by James King, 42, 5647 Knoop Johnston Road, causing a collision.

King’s vehicle continued west and onto the shoulder. Rupert’s vehicle spun around before coming to rest in the westbound lanes.

Rupert told police the light was yellow when he turned.
