WEDNESDAY

-1:45 a.m.: theft. Randall Hammer, 52, 4587 Vermont Drive, was arrested for theft, possessing criminal tools and criminal mischief after Walmart on Michigan Street reported the theft of a PlayStation 4 controller, two knifes and the damage of several boxes containing merchandise.

TUESDAY

-8:08 p.m.: criminal damaging. Janell Rindler, 50, 1272 E. Hoewisher Road, reported damage to the outside garage light and a plastic flag pole.

MONDAY

-8:45 p.m.: burglary. Sy Braun, 31, 707 S. Ohio Ave., reported a past burglary had occurred.

-1:34 p.m.: found property. A grey LG cellphone was found and turned into the police department.

-2:12 a.m.: theft. Rebecca Beard, 39, 511 S. Main Ave., reported someone broke the rear passenger’s side window of her husband’s vehicle and took change and a purse containing three credit cards and personal papers.

SUNDAY

-6:37 a.m.: theft. Molly Schriber, 26, 17767 Sharp Road, reported the theft of an Invicta watch valued at $800, Beats headphones valued at $200, three credit cards, four jackets, three pairs of shoes, two $2 bills and several other personal belongings from 110 E. Poplar Street.

Crashes

Barbara Walter, 72, 632 Folkerth Ave., Lot 35, was cited for stop sign after a two vehicle-collision on Tuesday at 6:05 p.m.

Walter was traveling westbound on Michigan Street at the intersection of Oak Avenue at the four-way stop when she attempted a northbound turn onto Oak Avenue and struck another vehicle that was going northbound through the intersection.

The driver of the other vehicle was by Anthony Hammons, 56, 516 Oak Ave.

• Laura Lewis, 21, 4869 State Route 29, was cited with assured clear distance ahead after a three-vehicle collision on Tuesday at 4:35 p.m.

Lewis was traveling westbound on East Court Street when she rear-ended the vehicle driven by Julie Cortner, 44, 274 Hillcrest Ave., that was stopped in front of her for traffic. The collision then caused Cortner’s vehicle to rear-end the vehicle stopped in front of her driven by Lindsey Michael, 22, 1536 Spruce St. Cortner and Micheal’s two juvenile passengers were transported by Sidney Fire Department to Wilson Health.

-2:17 to 9:09 a.m.: medical. Crews responded to two calls.

TUESDAY

-4:34 p.m.: medical. Crews responded to an automobile crash.

-4:21 p.m.: fire. Crews responded to 2400 Industrial Drive for a false fire alarm.

-10:42 a.m. to 11:40 p.m.: medical. Medics responded to nine calls.
