MONDAY

-11:05 p.m.: theft. Carol E. Liveston, 607 Fair Road, reported theft from her wallet at her place of employment, Sidney Foodtown. Stolen were $10 in cash, a $299.13 money order, and prescription pills.

-2:03 p.m.: warrant. Police arrested Donald White, 34, 505 S. Miami Ave., on a warrant from Montgomery County.

-10:45 a.m.: unruly juvenile. A man reported his son was being unruly.

-3:10 a.m.: burglary. Brandon Ludwig, 706 N. Main Ave., Apt. B, reported $63 cash was stolen from his residence.

SUNDAY

-8:36 p.m.: domestic violence. Police arrested a 16-year-old girl on charges of domestic violence and delinquency. The girl allegedly assaulted Alexander Bell, 1614 Catalpa Place.

-5:49 p.m.: driving under the influence. Police arrested Thomas Harvey, 41, 1151 Riverbend Blvd., at 1105 Riverbend Blvd. on a charge of driving under the influence.

-12:07 p.m.: disorderly conduct. Police charged two 12-year-old boys with disorderly conduct at 222 N. Pomeroy Ave.

-10:52 p.m.: dog at large. Adam Batchelder, 602 Chestnut Ave., reported a dog that was loose killed six of his children’s rabbits.

-8:23 a.m.: property found. A wallet belonging to Joseph M. Schiff, of Franklin, was found and given to police.

-1:03 a.m.: driving under the influence. Police arrested Jerry Swain, 27, 503 S. Highland Ave., in the area of Franklin Avenue and Court Street on a charge of driving under the influence.

-12:18 a.m.: theft. William M. Voss, of New Lebanon, reported a cell phone, valued at $100, and a credit card were stolen in the 500 block of North Miami Avenue.

SATURDAY

-11:32 p.m.: assault. A juvenile reported being assaulted in the 400 block of Chestnut Avenue.

-5:21 p.m.: missing person. A woman reported a juvenile had not come home.

-2:08 p.m.: warrant. Police arrested Jeff Epley, 40, 715 Buckeye Ave., Apt. B, on a warrant from Miami County.

-2:18 a.m.: driving under the influence. Police arrested Kylie M. Harvey, 24, of Piqua, in the 1100 block of St. Marys Avenue on a charge of driving under the influence.

-1:48 a.m.: driving under the influence. Police arrested Kevin Kinninger, 57, 203 W. State St., Botkins, at Michigan Street and Interstate 75 on a charge of driving under the influence.

FRIDAY

-11:56 p.m.: property lost. Devin Fleming, 94 Brooklyn Ave., reported a wallet with cash and credit cards was lost in the Sidney area.

-11:30 p.m.: violating protection. Police arrested Trent Stearns, 27, at large, for allegedly violating a protection order. The complaint was brought by Courtney Stearns, who alleged her husband had violated the order.

-9:28 p.m.: theft. Adam Pitcock, 1125 Hilltop Ave., reported a cell phone, valued at $30, was stolen from his residence.

-7:30 p.m.: driving under the influence. Police arrested James E. Taylor Jr., 42, of Piqua, at 407 S. Ohio Ave. on a charge of driving under the influence.

-5:41 p.m.: driving under the influence. Police arrested Grant A. Hanlon, 30, 734 S. Main Ave., at 2215 Michigan St. on a charge of driving under the influence.

-2:12 p.m.: criminal damaging. A rock was thrown through the glass in the back door at the Shelby County Board of Elections, 230 E. Court St. Loss was $100.

-12:52 p.m.: contempt. Police were called to a verbal domestic situation at 824 1/2 S. Main Ave. They learned a man there had a warrant from Sidney Municipal Court for contempt. Police arrested Derrick T. Roesser, 37, 824 1/2 S. Main Ave.

-10:53 a.m.: theft. Heather Frost, 401 S. Wilkinson Ave., reported she sent a $152 money order to another state via a money gram and it turned out to be a scam.

-10:20 a.m.: telephone harassment. Personnel at IAC, 2000 Schlater Drive, reported an incident involving a company cell phone.

THURSDAY

-5:52 p.m.: theft. Papa Johns personnel reported a false pizza order was received. Loss was $106.85.

-2:19 p.m.: property found. Landscaping lights were found at 820 Spruce Ave. and placed in the police garage.

SEPT. 2

-3:48 p.m.: theft. Police served a summons on a theft charge to Jessica M. Walter, 38, 300 N. West Ave. She allegedly stole a candy bar from Food Mart, 1206 Michigan St.

Accidents

Francis Yantis, 50, 409 S. Ohio Ave., was cited with failure to yield the right of way after an accident Thursday at 5:08 p.m.

Yantis was southbound on Vandemark Road, waiting to turn into the Burger King lot. He turned left into the path of a northbound auto driven by Cassandra Suttles, 17, 1051 N. Main Ave.

• Destiny Ostermyer, 19, 333 1/2 S. Miami Ave., was cited with making an improper lane change after an accident Friday at 3:36 p.m.

Ostermyer was southbound on South Ohio Avenue and attempted to change lanes from right to left. His auto collided with a car driven southbound in the left lane by Nicholas P. Kindle, 17, 1468 Children’s Home Road.

• Troy L. Huddleston, 20, 815 Arrowhead Drive, Apt. F, was cited with failure to maintain an assured clear distance after an accident Friday at 4:38 p.m.

Huddleston was westbound in the 400 block of West Russell Road and hit the rear of a westbound car driven by David L. Krinkie, 71, 6838 State Route 66, Fort Loramie, that was stopped in traffic.

• Amber Kaylor, 32, 925 Broadway Ave., was cited with a stop sign violation after an accident Saturday at 11:54 a.m.

Kaylor was eastbound on Bennett Street and stopped at a stop sign at Main Avenue. Kaylor pulled onto Main and his auto was hit by a southbound car driven by Jeff DeVelvis, 56, 5114 S. Knoop-Johnston Road.

• Christa F. Bartee, 27, 411 E. Pinehurst St., was cited with a traffic control device violation after an accident Sunday at 9:41 a.m.

Bartee was stopped at a stop sign eastbound on Parkwood Street at Wapakoneta Avenue. Bartee then pulled out into the path of a car driven southbound on Wapakoneta Avenue by Jenny Villa-Vazquez, 27, of Piqua. The Sidney Department of Fire & Emergency Services responded to the crash and checked Villa-Vazquez for possible injuries, but did not transport her.

• Kyrsten Drinnen, 23, 1146 Morris Ave., was cited with improper backing after an accident Monday at 5:53 p.m.

Drinnen was backing from her driveway and hit a pickup truck that was parked across the street. The owner of the truck was Kenneth Bray, 1149 Morris Ave.

• A hit-skip accident occurred Aug. 27 at 2:40 p.m.

A car was eastbound on West Water Street and attempted to pass other vehicles that were waiting to turn onto South West Avenue. The car attempted to pass to the right of an auto driven by Reece Dulworth, 17, 3069 Summerfield Trail, and hit that auto. The driver of the first car stopped and got information from Dulworth, but left the scene without providing information.

Fire, rescue

TUESDAY

-8:14 a.m.: fire. Firefighters were called to 2615 Campbell Road, where there was a fire in a commercial paint oven.

-2:29 to 3:45 a.m.: Medics responded to two calls.

MONDAY

-11:26 p.m.: fire. Firefighters were called to the 300 block of East North Street.

-12:30 a.m. to 11:03 p.m.: Medics responded to 10 calls.

-10:47 a.m.: fire. Firefighters were called to the 400 block of South Brooklyn Avenue.

-2:34 a.m.: fire. Firefighters were called to 514 Brooklyn Ave. to extinguish a utility pole fire.

-2:06 a.m.: alarm. Firefighters responded to a fire alarm at 2000 Schlater Drive.

SUNDAY

-10:28 a.m. to 8:44 p.m.: Medics responded to seven calls.

SATURDAY

-3:37 a.m. to 10:33 p.m.: Medics responded to eight calls.

-9:15 p.m.: odor. Firefighters were called to investigate an odor at 1569 Cedarbrook Place. They did not find anything.

FRIDAY

-2 to 7:27 p.m.: Medics responded to five calls.

-6:40 p.m.: odor. Firefighters were called to 1023 N. Main Ave. to investigate a gasoline odor.
