-5:21 a.m.: theft. Jennifer Cox, 40, 1191 W. Russell Road, reported the theft of a license plate.

-1:56 a.m.: theft. Barbara Bertsch, 28, 851 N. West Ave., reported the theft of a television, DVD player, Roku Plus, and Xbox, from her residence.

MONDAY

-6:54 p.m.: theft. Megan Imwalle, 20, of Fort Loramie, reported the theft of a purse and wallet at 2246 W. Michigan St.

-6:22 p.m.: warrant service. Police arrested Joseph Overton, 29, 225 Franklin Ave., on a grand jury indictment.

-4:20 p.m.: warrant service. Police arrested James Waugh, 45, of Springfield, on a Logan County warrant.

-1:10 p.m.: receiving stolen property. Police arrested Tre’Marqua Carey, 20, at large, for receiving stolen property, failure to reinstate a license, stopping after an accident, and reckless operation on private property. He also crashed the vehicle he was driving into a retaining wall in the Village West Apartment Complex.

-12:04 p.m.: theft. Stacy LeMaster, 59, 528 ½ N. Miami St., reported someone stole her debit card.

-10:10 a.m.: warrant service. Police arrested Jason Nation, 42, 1107 East Ave., on a grand jury indictment.

-4:23 p.m.: theft. Curtis Taylor, 24, 217 E. North St., reported the theft of Amazon packages from his front porch.

-2:53 p.m.: criminal damaging. Randall Pleasant, 52, 112 Royan St., Apt. C, reported someone damaged his fire pit.

-2:21 p.m.: counterfeit bill. An employee of Taco Bell reported a fake $20 was passed at the location earlier in the day, or the night before.

-4:02 a.m.: felonious assault. Mary Thompson, 36, 309 N. Miami Ave., reported Wesley Thompson, 38, of Bellefontaine was assaulted at the residence. He was listed with possible internal injury/brain bleed.

SATURDAY

-6:21 p.m.: burglary. Ashley Taylor, 23, 128 W. Clay St., Apt. B, reported someone entered her uninhabited apartment, took several items and destroys several others. Property stolen or damaged was estimated at $335.

-12:05 p.m.: theft. Landon Rench, 20, 303 ½ E. Court St., reported someone stole a power saw and a stereo system out of his vehicle.

-9:58 a.m.: domestic violence. Police arrested Travis Pike, 37, 2335 Fair Road, for two counts of domestic violence and one count of criminal damaging. The item reported damaged was the front end of a Chevrolet Van with estimated damage of $2,000.

-1:23 a.m.: burglary. Zunita Mattison, 25, 311 N. Walnut Ave., reported someone damaged the door frame and door of her residence.

FRIDAY

-9:02 p.m.: burglary. Justin Williams, 36, 1505 Spruce Ave., reported someone entered his residence and took diamond earrings, a diamond necklace, a Bengals jersey, SD cards, a cell phone and miscellaneous dishes. Total value of items taken was estimated at $640.

-4:31 p.m.: warrant service. Police arrested Joshua Bockrath, 26, 1117 Hilltop Ave., Apt. B, on a warrant out of the Shelby County Sheriff’s Office.

-3:26 p.m.: warrant service. Police arrested Steven Curl, 56, 230 Brookburn St., on an active warrant.

-2:27 p.m.: burglary. April Koch, 27, 1577 E. Court St., Apt. C, reported someone broke into her apartment and took a tablet valued at $50.

-1:19 p.m.: criminal damaging. Audrey Roberts, 26, 1113 Hilltop Ave., Apt. D, reported the door frame of her residence was damaged.

-1:11 p.m.: contempt. Police arrested Jessica Work, 30, 521 W. North St., on a contempt warrant.

-12:35 p.m.: counterfeit bills. Kathy Westerheide, owner of East 47 Marathon on Milligan Court, reported that sometime during the last week an unknown suspect passed a counterfeit $20 bill to the business.

-9:32 a.m.: driving under OVI suspension. Police cited Cameron Sharp, 24, of Piqua, for driving under ALS/OVI suspension.

-9:32 a.m.: prohibited standing or parking places. Police served a summons to Sondra Creek, 39, 412 Kossuth St., for prohibited parking out of Sidney Municipal Court.

THURSDAY

-11:47 p.m.: probation violation. Police served warrants to Mark Harris, 54, of Sidney, at the Shelby County Jail.

-4:37 p.m.: warrant service. Police arrested Josey Rafferty, 31, 306 N. West Ave., on an active warrant.

WEDNESDAY

-2:48 p.m.: aggravated menacing. Regina Phelps, of Pemberton, reported a male pointed a handgun at her while at a red light in the area of 2115 Michigan St.

Dec. 12

-7:30 p.m.: criminal damaging. Jennifer Swartz, 34, 320 N. Miami Ave., reported damaging and aggravated arson at the residence. Listed as damaged was a window valued at $100.

Crashes

Shawn Egbert, 29, of Anna, was cited for improper backing after a crash on Monday.

Egbert backed up into another vehicle on Wapakoneta Avenue at Russell Road.

The driver of the other vehicle, Yvonne Bell, 45, 229 Sandpiper Place, was transported to Wilson Emergency Room by Sidney Fire Department with possible injuries.

• Michael Aispuro, 25, of Dayton, was not cited after a crash on Monday at 3:45 p.m.

Aispuro was turning south bound onto Interstate 75 from west bound Michigan Street when he struck a vehicle traveling east bound on Michigan Street.

The driver of the other vehicle was Steven Smith, 68, of Piqua.

• Lorna Grinstead, 33, 1226 Sheerwood Court, was not cited after a crash on Monday at 3:30 p.m.

Grinstead was traveling east bound on Hoewisher Road near Beechwood trail when she began sliding on the ice and struck a utility pole.

• Mackenzie Bates, 18, 779 W. Parkwood Dr., was not cited after a crash on Monday at 12:03 p.m.

Bates was traveling east bound on Hoewisher Road near Beechwood trail when she began sliding on the ice and struck a pole on the corner of Beechwood and Hoewisher.

• Toni Powers, 25, 1583 Kuther Road, was cited for failure to control after a crash on Monday at 7:54 a.m.

Powers was traveling southbound on North Kuther Road when she lost control on the ice and entered the northbound lane of travel, striking a vehicle traveling northbound.

The driver of the other vehicle was Lori Blackford, 54, 5941 Hardin-Wapakoneta Road.

• No one was cited after a crash around 10 a.m. Saturday morning.

First Carla Rogness, 43, of Minnesota, struck a parked vehicle on Pomeroy Avenue, then Victoria McKenzie, 26, of Troy, struck Rogness’s vehicle causing it to wedge even further under the parked vehicle she had struck. The owner of the parked vehicle was Gregory Barhorst, 1589 Cumberland Drive.

• Heather Dodds, 30, 630 S. Main Ave., was not cited after a crash on Saturday at 6:28 a.m.

Dodds was traveling west bound on Fair Road. After clearing in the intersection with Chase Avenue she lost control on the icy roadway, left the right side of the roadway and struck a guard rail. She reportedly had possible injuries, but was not transported.

• Freddie Curl, 55, 5880 State Route 29E, was not cited after a crash on Saturday at 6:02 a.m.

Curl was traveling north bound on Main Avenue attempting to turn west on to Poplar Street when he lost control on the icy roadway. He left the roadway and struck a light pole in front of 134 E. Poplar St.

• Julia Hinton, 50, 906 N. Main Ave., was not cited after a crash on Saturday at 5:46 a.m.

Hinton was traveling north bound on Main Avenue when she attempted to turn west bound on to Russell Road and lost control on the icy roadway. She left the roadway and struck a utility pole.

• Ryan Mullen, 25, of Sidney, was salting roads in a city of Sidney vehicle on Saturday at 5:31 a.m. when he slid while traveling southbound on North Avenue, striking two parked vehicles.

• Collin Havil, 19, of Shelby County, was not cited after a crash on Saturday at 5:25 a.m.

Havil was traveling southbound on Walnut Avenue when he slid on the icy roadway and collided with three parked cars parked northbound on Walnut Avenue.

• Benjamin Smith, 31, of Sidney, was salting the roadways on Saturday around 4:48 a.m. While southbound on Sophia Avenue he lost traction and slid down the hill and went through the intersection of Fielding Road into a driveway and got stuck in a yard.

• Daniel Fogt, 22, 1001 Fourth Ave., Lot 48, was not cited after a crash on Saturday at 4:45 a.m.

Fogt was traveling westbound on Michigan Street approaching Stolle Avenue when he attempted to slow to turn left. He slid on the icy road and slid through the intersection back into the southbound side of the road, striking a vehicle traveling parallel to him that also slid through the intersection.

The driver of the other vehicle was Angela Evans, 44, 813 Arrowhead Drive, Apt. I.

• Jade Billing, 26, of Sidney, was conducting ice removal operations in a city of Sidney vehicle on Hoewisher Road around 4:04 a.m. Saturday. He was backing down the hill on Hoewisher which runs between Hidden Ridge Drive and Bridlewood Drive in an attempt to spread salt on the roadway. He began to spin out of control, striking a mailbox, a parked car on the street, pushing it into the yard, and another vehicle parked along the street.

• Kevin Cavender, 49, 730 N. Miami Ave., was cited for failure to control after a crash on Saturday at 4 a.m.

Cavender was traveling southbound on North Main Avenue in the 600 block when he went into the median and struck a curb and a street sign.

• Jeremy Dearth, 34, of Sidney, was salting Oldham Avenue on Saturday at 3:35 a.m., in a city of Sidney vehicle, when he bumped into a parked vehicle with his plow, and that vehicle bumped into another parked vehicle.

• Tammy Henderson, 45, 115 ½ W. South St., was not cited after a crash on Saturday at 3:26 a.m.

Henderson was traveling up Walnut Avenue northbound when she slid down the hill because of ice and struck a parked vehicle, coming to a final stop on the sidewalk on Poplar Street.

• Kevin Kitchen 41, of Sidney, was conducting ice removal operations in a city of Sidney vehicle on North Main Avenue around 2:35 a.m. Saturday when he lost traction on the icy roadway. The vehicle spun out of control striking a utility pole. The pole then broke bringing several lines down. Another vehicle then lost control and became entangled in the lines, but was not damaged.

• Mark Tennery, 38, of Sidney, was conducting ice removal operations in a city of Sidney vehicle on Fourth Avenue around 2:13 a.m. when he lost control on the icy roadway. He slid across four lanes of travel and struck a guard rail on the west side of the roadway.

• Shane Craig, 27, of Lima, was not cited after a crash on Saturday at 2:01 a.m.

Craig was traveling northeast bound on Port Jefferson Road approaching Clinton Avenue. When he attempted to stop to park, he slid on the ice into a pole.

• Dwaine Sosby, 45, of Jackson Center, was not cited after a crash on Saturday at 1:44 a.m.

Sosby was traveling west bound on West North Street when he lost traction as he approached the top of the grade causing his vehicle to travel backwards and spin to the right, striking a parked vehicle.

The owner of the parked vehicle was Daniel Dawson, 228 W. North St.

• Derek Gatlin, 27, of Lima, was not cited after a crash on Saturday at 1:10 a.m.

Gatline was traveling westbound on Michigan Street attempting to enter the Kroger parking lot when he slid on the ice and struck the sign in front of Kroger Fuel.

• No one was cited after a two vehicle collision on Saturday at 12:56 a.m.

Laura Moses, 32, 624 St. Marys Ave., was traveling east bound on state Route 47 behind a vehicle driven by Nickey Kinnett, 41, of Fort Loramie, when she failed to stop due to icy road conditions and struck Kinnett’s vehicle in the rear.

One passenger in Kinnett’s vehicle was transported by Sidney Fire to Wilson Health with possible injuries.

• Ronald Hixenbaugh, 49, 517 N. Miami Ave., was not cited after a crash on Saturday at 12:49 a.m.

Hixenbaugh was traveling westbound on Michigan Street and attempted to turn northbound onto North Stolle Avenue. While making the turn he slid on the icy roadway and collided with a guard rail on the north west corner of the intersection.

• John Cianciolo, 16, 2140 Westminster Drive, was not cited after a crash on Saturday at 12:15 a.m.

Cianciolo was traveling northbound on Vandemark Road near Russell Road when he attempted to stop for the stop sign and slid on the icy road conditions, striking a vehicle stopping in front of him.

The driver of the other vehicle was Larry Larger, 69, of Minster.

• Cheryl McDonald, 64, 400 Apollo Drive, was not cited after a crash on Saturday at 12:10 a.m.

McDonald was traveling south on Broadway Avenue when, due to icy road conditions, slid off the roadway and struck a mailbox in front of 2233 Broadway Avenue.

• Steven Smith, 48, 657 Ridgeway Drive, was not cited after a crash on Saturday at 12:09 a.m.

Smith was traveling east bound on Ridgeway Drive. As he slowed, his vehicle slid on the icy roadway causing his vehicle to slide down the hill and into a landscape rock, then a vehicle in a driveway and a garage door.

The owner of the parked vehicle and garage door was Denis Adkins, 1231 Mapleleaf Court.

• Austin Morris, 19, of Virginia, was not cited after a crash on Friday at 11:52 p.m.

Morris was traveling northbound on Interstate 75 when he tried to slow for traffic ahead of when and slid on the icy roadway and struck a vehicle in front of him.

The driver of the other vehicle was Jimmy Phelps, 51, of Kentucky.

• No was not cited after a crash on Friday at 8:17 p.m. because of lack of witnesses and conflicting reports.

Dustin Miller, 29, 827 Fair Road, was traveling southbound on South Walnut Avenue behind Michael Everett, 27, 2333 Miami Conservancy Road. Everett slowed down and attempted to turn westbound into a driveway, when Miller continued straight because he thought Everett was continuing on into the turn lane. As Everett turned, the vehicles collided.

• Valentina Cornish, 50, of Versailles, was cited for unsecured load after an incident on Thursday at 9:47 p.m.

Cornish was traveling southbound on Stolle Avenue when the trailer detached from one of it’s hitches and damaged the roadway.

• Carl Lachey Jr., 52, of Union, Ohio, was cited for failure to control after an accident on Wednesday at 11:28 a.m.

Lachey was traveling eastbound on West Russell Road when he lost control and struck a brick mailbox.
