MONDAY

-11:48 p.m.: burglary. Randy Epley Jr., 520 Second Ave., Apt. B, reported a TV, valued at $300, was stolen from his residence.

-8:19 p.m.: warrant. Police arrested Collin M. Hymes, 26, 107 1/2 S. Wilkinson Ave., on grand jury indictments charging him with drug trafficking.

-3:59 p.m.: theft. Georgia Hardwick, 636 S. Miami Ave., reported her purse was stolen from Walmart. The purse contained $325 cash and other items.

-1:37 p.m.: littering. Litter was left on the Sidney Theater property, 120 W. Poplar St.

-11:06 a.m.: property found. A wallet belonging to Peri Parks, of Troy, was found in the Dollar General store parking lot at 166 W. Court St.

-10:45 a.m.: aggravated menacing. Police are investigating an incident in which Jamie Richards was menaced at Wilson Memorial Hospital.

-10:38 a.m.: assault. Brandon Engley, 508 S. Miami Ave., was assaulted at 120 E. Water St. He had an apparent minor injury.

-8:54 a.m.: unruly. Police arrested a girl on charges of being an unruly delinquent.

SUNDAY

-7:57 p.m.: theft. Gary Daniels, 410 Summit St., reported pills were stolen from his residence.

-6:19 p.m.: property found. A set of keys was found in Tawawa Park.

-4:49 a.m.: property found. A license plate was found at 132 N. Main Ave. The owner is Brent Napier, 10650 Schenk Road.

SATURDAY

-11:45 p.m.: assault, criminal trespass and resisting arrest. Police were called to 111 S. Ohio Ave. on a report of a fight in progress. Police arrested Trent Owen, 22, of Piqua, and Casey Driskell, 23, 107 Bay St. Owen was charged with assault and Driskell was charged with criminal trespass and resisting arrest.

-7:53 p.m.: contempt. Police arrested Angela Schmidt, 41, 329 1/2 N. Ohio Ave., on a warrant from Sidney Municipal Court.

-3:55 p.m.: theft. John E. Dixon Jr., 333 E. North St., reported a license plate was stolen from his vehicle at his residence.

-3:35 p.m.: theft. Richard Stempkowski, 952 Port Jefferson Road, reported bowling equipment, fishing tackle, a CB radio, and a radar detector, valued at $950, were stolen from vehicles overnight at his residence.

-2:17 p.m.: theft. Michelle Roof, 335 S. Miami St., Quincy, reported the license plate was stolen from her vehicle at 952 Port Jefferson Road.

-1:22 p.m.: theft. Lorrene Mitchel, 5927 State Route 29 East, reported the temporary tag was stolen from her vehicle in the 400 block of North West Avenue.

-12:37 p.m.: assault and criminal damaging. Kate Jones, 824 Park St., reported she was assaulted at 523 1/2 N. Miami Ave. She had an apparent minor injury.

FRIDAY

-7:37 p.m.: theft. Eugene Woodruff reported theft of tools, valued at $200, from 1000 N. Wagner Ave.

-3:03 p.m.: violating protection order. Tracy Burgan, of Piqua, reported her husband violated a temporary protection order at a Sidney address. Investigation is continuing.

-1:54 p.m.: criminal damaging. Kym Maxwell, 207 N. Highland Ave., reported three tires on her vehicle were damaged at her residence. Loss was $300.

-1:28 p.m.: criminal damaging. Dylan Van Horn, 2805 Wapakoneta Ave., reported two sides of his vehicle were damaged at his residence. Loss was $500.

-11:19 a.m.: assault. Christal McDowell, 2355 Collins Drive, reported someone assaulted her at 215 S. Miami Ave.

-10:56 a.m.: probation violation. Police arrested Wesley N. Spradlin, 30, 624 St. Marys Ave., on a bench warrant from Sidney Municipal Court.

-10:54 a.m.: theft. Three cartons of cigarettes, valued about $204, were stolen from Cheap Tobacco, 1542 Michigan St.

-8:10 a.m.: contempt. Police arrested Bryon L. Jones, 31, 1852 Fair Oaks Drive, on a bench warrant from Sidney Municipal Court.

SEPT. 9

-2:13 p.m.: criminal damaging. The vehicle of Joseph Yelton, 204 1/2 Forest St., was damaged at the residence.

Accidents

A one-car accident occurred Friday at 2:20 p.m.

William Van Hook Jr., 75, 3648 State Route 66, Houston, was westbound on Michigan Street when the power steering on his car went out. The car left the roadway and hit a street sign at 2300 Michigan St. Van Hook was not injured and no citations were issued.

• Ralph E. Riddle, 82, 576 N. Ohio Ave., was cited with improper backing after an accident Saturday at 10:20 a.m.

Riddle was backing from a parking space in the 100 block of South Ohio Avenue and did not see a car behind him that was stopped in traffic. The Riddle auto hit a car driven by Michael A. Hines, 27, 1023 N. Main Ave.

• Karen L. Satterwhite, 48, 236 Highland Ave., was cited with failure to yield the right of way after an accident Saturday at 12:43 p.m.

Satterwhite was stopped in an alley beside 319 E. Court St., waiting for traffic to clear so she could turn left onto the street. She proceeded into the intersection and failed to see an eastbound auto driven by Carolyn J. Shiveley, 70, 725 Doorley Road, and the vehicles collided.

• Kennedy N. Glover, 17, 836 Crescent Drive, was cited with failure to maintain an assured clear distance after an accident Friday at 8:25 a.m.

Glover, driving a pickup truck, was northbound in the 1300 block of Wapakoneta Avenue and hit the rear of a northbound car driven by Erin Maier, 24, 601 Chestnut Ave. Maier had slowed for a car ahead of her that was turning into a private drive.

Fire, rescue

TUESDAY

-3 to 6:46 a.m.: Medics responded to three calls.

MONDAY

-1:02 a.m. to 8:28 p.m.: Medics responded to 13 calls.

-5:44 p.m.: fire. Firefighters were called to 2009 Wells Drive, where food had been left on a stove.

-4:40 p.m.: alarm. Firefighters were called to the Sidney-Shelby County YMCA by an alarm. It was a false alarm.

SUNDAY

-11:36 a.m. to 11:24 p.m.: Medics responded to nine calls.
