Police log

WEDNESDAY

-8:05 p.m.: burglary. Antonio Sanders, 25, at large, was arrested for burglary after police investigated a report that 805 Arrowhead Drive, Apt. K, was entered.

-6:07 p.m.: burglary. Adrian Franklin, 34, 991 Buckeye Ave., reported someone attempted to enter his residence and damaged his front door and a window.

-3:16 p.m.: theft. Jennifer Swartz, 34, 320 N. Miami Ave., Apt. 4, reported the theft of a pair of red and black Jordan shoes. She confirmed online her order was delivered on Jan. 1.

-1:45 p.m.: criminal damaging. William Curtis, 31, 112 Royan Ave., Apt. C, reported someone damaged the front of his hood and the left front fender of his vehicle at the Shelby County Department of Jobs & Family Services on South Ohio Avenue.

TUESDAY

-2:25 p.m.: misuse of a credit card. John Miller, 26, of Lima, reported someone used his credit card numbers to buy a pre-paid card from Walmart.

Crashes

Kenneth Alexander, 58, 406 S. Miami Ave., was cited with failure to control after two collisions with parked vehicles on Thursday at 12:22 a.m.

Alexander was traveling northbound on North Miami Avenue when he struck a parked vehicle owned by David Gilmore, 1046 N. Miami Ave.. He continued forward and struck the curb and then another parked vehicle owned by Betty Miracle, 1048 N. Miami Ave.

• No one was cited for a two-vehicle collision on Wednesday at 3:36 p.m.

Linda Hicks, 26, 1627 Holly Place, was traveling westbound on East Russell Road approaching the intersection at North Main Avenue. Hicks told police her light was green when she entered the intersection.

Another vehicle driven by Misty Mowery, 24, 816 Clinton Ave., was traveling northbound on North Main Avenue approaching the intersection of East Russell Road. Mowery told police her light was green when she entered the intersection. As they proceeded through the intersection, Mowery’s vehicle collided with Hicks’ vehicle, causing it to be spun around and face the east. There were no witnesses at the time of the report.

• Ronald LaPoint, 75, 227 Helen Court, was cited with assured clear distance ahead after a two-vehicle-crash on Wednesday at 11:49 p.m.

LaPoint was southbound on Fourth Avenue when he failed to stop in time for stopped traffic at Court Street when he struck the rear of the vehicle stopped at the light in front of him driven by Stacy Prenger, 53, of Minster.

Fire, rescue

THURSDAY

-1:32 a.m.: fire. Crews responded to a structure fire at 335 Apollo St.

-12:22 a.m.: medical. Crews responded to an automobile crash.

WEDNESDAY

-9:45 a.m. to 11:19 p.m.: medical. Medics responded to six calls.
