-1:13 a.m.: probation violation. Caleb Brown, 24, Troy, was arrested on a bench warrant.

MONDAY

-4:58 p.m.: found property. A driver’s license belonging to Dalton Jenkins, 19, Piqua, was found and turned into the police department.

-3:02 p.m.: warrant. Robbie Carr, 40, at large, was arrested on a warrant.

-12:42 p.m.: theft. Caitlan Collett, 21, 827 Arrowhead Drive, Apt. K, reported someone stole her Younique makeup from her home, valued at $112.

-8:05 a.m.: warrant. Jewell Knight, 19, 812 Park St., Apt. D, was arrested on a warrant.

SUNDAY

-6:23 p.m.: theft. Paul Snow, 27, DeGraff, reported the theft of a spare tire cover from his vehicle.

-5:44 p.m.: found property. A black wallet containing the identification of Reedy Dustin, 33, Piqua, was found at Kroger on Michigan Street and turned into the police department.

-1:10 p.m.: domestic violence. April Powell, 29, 1465 E. Court St., was arrested for domestic violence.

-2:59 a.m.: assault. Tara Smith, 35, 224 W. Robinhood St., was arrested for assault, disorderly conduct and resisting arrest.

SATURDAY

-2:20 a.m.: driving under OVI suspension. Angel Linton, 30, 302 E. Court St., was arrested for driving under an OVI suspension.

-2:14 a.m.: driving under the influence. William Atkinson, 54, 902 Campbell Road, was arrested for OVI.

FRIDAY

-1:51 p.m.: domestic violence. Charles Price, 56, 218 Grove St., was arrested for domestic violence.

THURSDAY

-5:07 p.m.: criminal damaging. John St. Myers, 44, 640 Parkwood St., reported the theft of miscellaneous clothing, valued at $500.

-4:17 p.m.: possession of drugs. Two juveniles were arrested for possession of drugs and drug paraphernalia.

-4 p.m.: theft. Police are investigating the report made by Walmart on Michigan Street of the theft of $74.97 in merchandise.

-6:22 a.m.: theft. Paul Butler, 27, 123 Pike St., reported the theft of a PlayStation 4, a controller and Grand Theft Auto 5 video game.

March 1

-2:27 p.m.: unauthorized use of motor vehicle. Tia Spearman, 28, Findlay, was arrested for unauthorized use of a motor vehicle after it was reported she kept a vehicle longer than was agreed upon.

Crashes

Jane Guggenbiller, 60, 1417 Westwood Drive, was cited with right of way turning left following a two-vehicle crash Monday at 4:34 p.m.

Guggenbiller had just pulled from the stop sign on Hampton Court at the intersection at Fair Road when she struck the driver’s side rear door of the vehicle driven by David Elmore, 29, 3305 Red Feather Drive, that was traveling eastbound on Fair Road.

• Shirley Hughes, 59, 375 W. Russell Road, was cited with right of way private drive following a two-vehicle crash Monday at 3:41 p.m.

Hughes was attempting to turn eastbound out of the Dollar General parking lot onto West Russell Road when she struck the passenger’s side of the westbound vehicle on West Russell Road driven by Ashtin Boroff, 22, 325 Forest St.

• David Wolaver, 42, 444 Jefferson St., was cited with open door into traffic following a crash on Sunday at 10:39 a.m.

Wolaver was parked on the west side of Broadway Avenue and was opening his driver’s door toward traffic when it was struck by a southbound vehicle on Broadway Avenue that was driven by Brayden Thompson, 19, 109 Village Green Drive.

• Shawn Griffith, 25, 323 Franklin Ave., was cited with operation without control and no seat belt following a crash on Saturday at 7:09 a.m.

Griffith was traveling northbound on Fourth Avenue approaching the intersection at Russell Road and at a high rate of speed continued onward through the intersection, ran off the road, struck an embankment, vaulted into a field, and flipped his vehicle several times before coming to a final rest on the driver’s side.

Griffith was transported by Sidney Fire Department to Wilson Health.

• Valerie Dynda, 20, of Dearborn Heights, Michigan, was cited with failure to control following a crash on Friday at 12:07 a.m.

Dynda was traveling southbound on Interstate 75 when she lost control on the icy road conditions and hit a guardrail on the west side of the roadway.

• No one was cited following a crash on Thursday at 11:56 p.m.

Cheyenne Coffey, 20, 5592 Patterson-Halpi Road, was traveling northbound in the right lane on I-75 when she lost control on the icy road conditions and hit a guardrail on the west side of the northbound lanes of travel.

• Reddy Amar, 42, of Dublin, was cited with assured clear distance ahead following a two-vehicle crash on Thursday at 4:57 p.m.

Amar was traveling westbound on Russell Road approaching the intersection of Wapakoneta Road when he rear-ended the vehicle in front of him driven by Jessica Hammaker, 35, 760 Country Side Lane, that had stopped in traffic.

• Doris Smith, 54, 531 Kossuth St., was cited with failure to control following a four-vehicle crash on Thursday at 8:27 p.m.

According to the police report, Smith was traveling southbound at a high rate of speed on North Main Avenue, which is a northbound only road, when she struck the passenger’s side of a legally parked vehicle owned by Sheila Smith, 519 N. Main Ave., in the 500 block of North Main Avenue before hitting head-on another legally parked vehicle on North Main Avenue owned by Robert Smith, 519 N. Main Ave. The collision pushed Robert Smith’s vehicle into a third legally parked vehicle on North Main Street owned by Raechelle Kahlig, 517 ½ N. Main Ave., which caused Doris Smith’s vehicle to roll over onto its top before coming to a rest.

Doris Smith was transported by Sidney Fire Department to Wilson Health.

• No one was cited after a two-vehicle crash on Thursday at 3:24 p.m.

Lonny Lefever, 64, of Conover, was stopped facing eastbound at the traffic light at the parking lot exit of 221 N. Vandemark Road. Kathy Yaney, 60, 1246 Apple Blossom Lane, was stopped at the traffic light facing northbound on North Vandemark. Lefever’s vehicle struck the front left side of Yaney’s vehicle when he began going through the intersection as Yaney began turning into the parking lot.

Both drivers said they had the green light, and since no witnesses were present, no citations were issued.

Yaney’s vehicle sustained minor damages.

• Kayla Riethman, 18, of Bellefontaine, was cited with failure to yield following a two-vehicle crash on Thursday at 2:41 p.m.

Riethman was turning left out of Clark gas station on West Court Street when she failed to see the westbound vehicle on West Court Street driven by David McKay, 69, 3168 Thompson Schiff Road, and struck the driver’s side of his vehicle.

Fire, rescue

TUESDAY

-2:41 a.m.: fire. Crews responded to 2355 Collins Drive on the report of smoke in the building. A problem was found with the furnace.

-1:10 to 3:43 a.m.: medical. Medics responded to two calls.

MONDAY

-2:30 p.m.: electrical arching. Firefighters responded to 628 Buckeye Ave. on a report of electrical arching from a power pole.

-1:08 p.m.: fire. Crews responded to 113 N. Highland Ave. for a general fire alarm. The alarm was due to cigarette smoke.

-2:22 a.m. to 6:58 p.m.: medical. Medics responded to six calls.

SUNDAY

-2:44 p.m.: mutual aid. Firefighters responded for the mutual aid of Lockington Fire Department for a brush fire.

-7:38 a.m. to 11:44 p.m.: medical. Medics responded to seven calls.

-4:28 a.m.: standby. Medics were on standby for CareFlight.

SATURDAY

-8:21 a.m. to 8:07 p.m.: medical. Medics responded to five calls.

-7:08 a.m.: medical. Crews responded to an automobile crash.

FRIDAY

-7:31 a.m. to 4:50 p.m.: medical. Medics responded to seven calls.
