WEDNESDAY

-5:38 a.m.: vehicle trespass and contempt. Police arrested Brandon A. Travis, 21, at large, on charges of vehicle trespass and contempt. He allegedly entered the vehicle of Kelly Swartz in the 2300 block of Collins Drive.

-2:21 a.m.: underage possession of beer and disorderly conduct. Police arrested Devan P. Cruea, 20, 230 N. Walnut Ave., in the 200 block of North Walnut on charges of prohibitions (underage possession of alcohol) and disorderly conduct.

-12:24 a.m.: aggravated robbery. Stacy Schaffner, 112 Oak Ave., reported three people assaulted her in the 100 block of North Walnut Avenue and stole her cell phone, a wallet and its contents, and headphones, valued at $135. Schaffner suffered apparent broken bones and possible internal injuries.

TUESDAY

-6:03 p.m.: criminal damaging. Vickie White, 505 S. Miami Ave., reported the side of her vehicle was damaged at her residence. Loss was $1,000.

-4:47 p.m.: theft and forgery. Lawyers Title Agency of Sidney, 100 S. Main Ave., reported theft of $36,900 in a theft and forgery incident. Investigation is continuing. The incident occurred sometime since Jan. 6.

-3:51 p.m.: warrant. Police arrested Derrick Cornett, 23, 224 Pike St., on a warrant through the Adult Parole Authority.

-3:48 p.m.: assault. A woman reported a juvenile assaulted her son. He had an apparent minor injury. Police charged a 14-year-old boy with assault.

-1:35 p.m.: criminal damaging. Sherry Howard, 826 N. Main Ave., reported someone spray-painted the side of her house. Loss was $300.

-Noon: theft. Eight packages of steak, valued at $80, were stolen from Sidney Foodtown on Aug. 26. Christine A. Black, 23, of Huntsville, was charged with theft in connection with the incident.

-12:08 a.m.: burglary. Brandon Powers, 615 St. Marys Ave., reported a 9mm pistol, .22-caliber rifle, .50-caliber muzzleloading rifle, two gaming systems, and ammunition, valued at $1,628, and $20 in change were stolen from his residence.

Accidents

An accident occurred Tuesday at 10:48 a.m.

Brittany Lowe, 23, 500 N. Vandemark Road, was eastbound on Michigan Street. A car driven by Emerson Watkins, 79, 820 Doorley Road, was turning left from Folkerth Avenue onto Michigan. The vehicles collided in the intersection. The statements of the drivers varied as to what color the traffic light was when they entered the intersection. Investigation of the crash is continuing.

• Cody Striff, 18, 4129 Children’s Home Road, was cited with driving within marked lanes after an accident Monday at 1:47 p.m.

Striff was southbound in the 100 block of North Ohio Avenue in the right lane. He stopped to turn left into an alley and hit a car driven southbound in the left lane by Jillian Hamilton, 33, of Bellefontaine.

• Robbie G. Carr, 39, 129 W. Water St., was cited with failure to maintain an assured clear distance after an accident Tuesday at 11:09 a.m.

Carr was southbound on the Interstate 75 entrance ramp from state Route 47. His auto struck in the rear a car ahead of him driven by Edward Washington III, 35, of Troy. The Washington auto was pushed into the rear of an auto driven by Lisa St. Myers, 45, 215 S. Miami St., Quincy. St. Myers had stopped because of traffic on I-75. Construction had reduced the road to one lane.

Fire, rescue

WEDNESDAY

-6:10 a.m.: alarm. Firefighters were called to the Shelby County Sheriff’s Office, 555 Gearhart Road, by a fire alarm. They did not find any problem.

-12:29 to 4:03 a.m.: Medics responded to two calls.

TUESDAY

-2:20 to 9 p.m.: Medics responded to nine calls.

-1:09 p.m.: fire. Firefighters were called to Everyday Technologies, 2005 Campbell Road, where there was a smoldering fire in ceiling insulation. Firefighters extinguished the fire. Loss was estimated at $1,000.
