Sheriff’s log

FRIDAY

-5 a.m.: lines down. Deputies were dispatched to the 21000 block of state Route 274 in Jackson Township on the report of lines down.

THURSDAY

-7:01 p.m.: trespassing. Deputies were dispatched to 12500 State Route 362 in McLean Township on the report of a trespassing.

-6:02 p.m.: shooting. Deputies were dispatched to the 10000 block of White Horse Trail in Washington Township on the report of shooting sounds in the area.

Crashes

Travis Schulze, 30, 27 1/2 N. Main St., Fort Loramie, was arrested for driving under the influence after a hitting a power line pole on Thursday at 1:57 p.m.

Schulze was south-eastbound in the 9000 block of Dawson Road when he fell asleep, drifted off the west side of the roadway and continued south-eastbound before coming to a rest at the intersection of Barhorst Road and Dawson Road.

• Kristin Morris, 28, 444 W. Main St., Port Jefferson, was cited with assured clear distance ahead following a crash on Wednesday at 3:22 p.m.

Morris was traveling eastbound on state Route 47 when she rear-ended a stopped garbage truck. The truck was stopped with its lights on while the driver was out of the vehicle collecting garbage bags. Morris said she had looked back to check on her son and didn’t realize the truck had stopped.

The driver of the waste management truck was John Roe, 56, 116 Robinwood St., Sidney.

Fire, rescue

FRIDAY

-8:09 a.m.: fire. Fort Loramie Fire Department and Police responded to state Route 66 at Greenback Road on the report a gas line was struck.

-12:23 a.m.: fire. Fort Loramie Rescue responded to the 12000 block of state Route 362 in McLean Township.

THURSDAY

-6:46 p.m.: medical. Perry Port Salem Rescue responded to the 200 block of West Main Street in Salem Township.
