Sheriff’s log

WEDNESDAY

-12:34 p.m.: K-9 person tracking. Deputies conducted a K-9 person tracking in the 3000 block of County Road 25A in Orange Township.

-12:33 p.m.: property damage crash. Deputies responded to Sidney High School on Campbell Road on the report of a crash in the school parking lot.

TUESDAY

-11:54 p.m.: suspicious car. Deputies were dispatched to 10467 Hathaway Road in Washington Township on the report of a suspicious vehicle sitting at the church.

-11:16 p.m.: crash. Deputies were dispatched to the 12000 block of Meranda Road in Franklin Township on the report of a three-vehicle crash.

-8:21 p.m.: trespassing. Deputies were dispatched to 16205 Sharp Road in Salem Township on the report of a trespassing.

-8:17 p.m.: investigative complaint. Deputies and Houston Rescue investigated a complaint of an individual passed out in a vehicle in the 10000 block of Little Turtle Way in Washington Township.

-5:23 p.m.: threats or harassment. Deputies were dispatched to the 5900 block of Hardin Wapakoneta Road in Turtle Creek Township on the report of harassment.

Crashes

No citations were issued following a motorcycle crash on Tuesday at 5:40 a.m.

Jesse Siler, 62, 15255 Meranda Road, Anna, was traveling eastbound in the 19000 block of state Route 119 when he struck a deer crossing the road. Siler’s motorcycle overturned, ejecting him off the left side of the roadway.

He was transported by Anna Rescue to St. Rita’s Medical Center in Lima.

• Richard Schopf, 59, of Piqua, was cited with driving under the influence following a crash on Sunday at 7:03 p.m.

Schopf was traveling southbound on Loramie Washington Road when he lost control of the vehicle, went off the right side of the road and struck a utility pole.

• No one was cited following a crash on Sunday at 5:33 p.m.

Destiny Barton, 18, of Troy, was traveling northbound on Miami Conservancy Road when she went off the right side of the road, could not get back onto the roadway and then went across Kaser Road and struck a guard rail. The guardrail was not damaged.

Fire, rescue

WEDNESDAY

-2:49 p.m.: crash with injuries. Anna Rescue, Van Buren Township Fire Department and Deputies responded to state Route 119 and state Route 29 in Van Buren Township.

-2:42 p.m.: medical. Anna Rescue responded to the 600 block of West Main Street.

-1:22 p.m.: medical. Anna Rescue and Jackson Center Police responded to the 100 block of Redbud Circle in Jackson Township.

-11:22 a.m.: medical. Houston Rescue Squad responded to the 5600 block of Patterson Halpin Road in Turtle Creek Township.

TUESDAY

-11:23 p.m.: medical. Anna Rescue and Fire Department and Deputies responded to the 12500 block of Meranda Road in Franklin Township.
