TUESDAY

-1:08 a.m.: theft. Brianna Johnson, 25, 523 ½ N. Miami Ave., reported the theft of her Galaxy S7 cellphone, phone case and charger.

MONDAY

-11:57 p.m.: domestic violence. Travis Pike, 38, 826 Spruce Ave., was arrested for domestic violence.

-4:20 p.m.: theft. Police are investigating the report made by Walmart on Michigan Street of the theft of $40.87 in merchandise, which was recovered the same day.

-5:23 a.m.: unauthorized use of a motor vehicle. Cassandra Harris, 34, 752 Countryside Street, Apt. 4, reported someone she knows refused to return her vehicle.

SUNDAY

-10:01 p.m.: warrant. Steven Curl, 57, 230 Brookburn St., was arrested on an active Champaign County warrant.

-8:15 p.m.: criminal trespass. Amber Kruger, 26, 333 Jefferson St., reported someone was on her property without permission.

-6:30 p.m.: theft. Deanna Edwards Ravan, 19, 518 Michigan St., reported the theft of her purse containing $124.

-5:40 p.m.: theft. Stacey Clark, 47, 112 W. Pinehurst St., reported the theft of a DKNY watch, valued at $225, from a garage sale at the residence.

-2:53 p.m.: found property. A black wallet containing the Michigan driver’s license belonging to Quincy Jones, 44, Detroit, Michigan, was found at Karoc Marathon gas station on West Hoewisher Road and was turned into the police department.

-10:05 a.m.: criminal damaging. Taleena Ferguson, 38, 807 S. Main Ave., reported garage door of her residence was damaged.

-9:56 a.m.: assault. Joshua Root, 38, 516 N. Ohio Ave., was arrested for assault, criminal damaging and criminal trespass after an assault was reported and also the front screen door was damaged and siding and the mailbox was ripped off of the front of the residence of 437 N. Miami Ave.

-7:25 a.m.: criminal damaging. Ulbrich’s Hometown Bakery on Michigan Street reported someone damaged an exterior light fixture at the business.

SATURDAY

-7:28 p.m.: theft. Police are investigating the report made by Superior Sealcoat on North Kuther Road that someone stole an STIHL commercial string trimmer, valued at $650, from the job site at 410 W. Russell Road.

-4:07 p.m.: found property. A camouflage wallet containing a Social Security card belonging to Jacob Hummel was found and turned into the police department.

-3:46 p.m.: warrant. Jody Bunnell, 46, 2009 Michigan St., Apt. 437, was arrested on an active warrant.

-1:56 p.m.: theft. Carl Graham, 81, 217 ½ E. North St., reported the theft of two gold plated watches, valued at $64, a gold wedding ring, valued at $125, a man’s watch, valued at $60, and a bath towel from his residence.

-1:36 p.m.: lost property. Barbara Bollinger, 72, 1220 Morris Ave., reported she lost her coin purse containing $70, a credit card and miscellaneous documents.

FRIDAY

-1:57 p.m.: contempt. Calvin Sutton, 55, 615 Johnston Drive, was arrested on a contempt warrant.

-12:16 p.m.: theft. Jennifer Ludwig, 38, 615 Johnston Drive, reported someone she knows took her rental vehicle without her consent.

-11:03 a.m.: burglary. Pamela Dixon, 52, 1107 Amherst Drive., Apt. E1, reported a burglary and damage to a wooden door jam at her residence.

Crashes

Amy Bellmer, 20, 323 Buckeye Ave., was cited with right of way turning left after a two-vehicle crash on Monday at 11:12 p.m.

Bellmer was traveling eastbound on state Route 47 and as she was attempting to turn left onto Fourth Avenue she failed to yield the right of way and caused a collision with the westbound vehicle on state Route 47 that was driven by Jeanelee Branscum, 18, 110 W. Poplar St., Apt. 110.

• Jack Leffler, 56, 335 N. Main Ave., was cited with failure to control following a one-vehicle crash on Monday at 3:33 p.m.

Leffler was traveling northbound on South Fourth Avenue when he crossed the southbound lane of travel and crashed at the bottom of a ditch.

According to the police report, after further investigation, it was determined that the cause of the crash was most likely due to complications involving seizures.

• Viola Richards, 81, 125 W. Water St., was cited with obedience to traffic control device following a two-vehicle crash on Sunday at 5:32 p.m.

Richards was traveling eastbound on East Court Street entering the intersection of South Miami Avenue on a red light when a southbound vehicle on South Miami Avenue entered the intersection and struck Richards’ vehicle.

The other vehicle was driven by Isaac Fitzpatrick, 18, 2325 Collins Drive.

• Tarra Haidara, 45, 1101 Wright Road, was cited with stop sign after a two-vehicle crash on Sunday at 4:01 p.m.

Haidara was attempting to make a left hand turn onto Kuther Road from a stop sign on Wright Road when the front of her vehicle was struck by a southbound vehicle on Kuther Road approaching Wright Road that was driven by Harley Campbell, 16, 10995 Little Turtle Road.

Haidara was transported by Sidney Fire to Wilson Health.

• Dustin Watkins, 16, 302 E. Lyndhurst St., was cited with failure to control after a one-vehicle crash on Sunday at 10:51 a.m.

Watkins was traveling eastbound on Park Street in the right lane when he told police he heard a pop. Then his vehicle went to the right and he could not stop before colliding with a utility pole on the right side of the road.

• Russell Schmidt, 69, 1131 Fairmont Drive, was cited with improper backing after a two-vehicle crash on Sunday at 9:52 a.m.

Schmidt was backing out of the driveway of 1131 Fairmont Drive when he failed to see a parked vehicle on Fairmont Drive to the south and hit the vehicle that is owned by Matthew Jaurez, 222 S. Walnut Ave.

• Jennifer Coverstone, 58, 105 W. Pinehurst St., was cited with right of way from a driveway after a two-vehicle crash on Saturday at 12:43 p.m.

Coverstone was in the driveway of McDonald’s on Michigan Street and when attempting to make a right hand turn she struck the right front quarter panel of the eastbound vehicle on Michigan Street driven by Charity Smith, 72, of Quincy.

• Ronald Benson, 44, 35 Davis Ave., was cited with right of way at intersection after a two-vehicle crash on Friday at 6 p.m

Benson was on South Wilkinson Avenue at the intersection of East Court Street and as he attempted to go south through the intersection he pulled into the path of the westbound motorcycle on West Court Street driven by Daniel Ferguson, 23, 3355 County Road 25A.

Ferguson was transported by Sidney Fire to Miami Valley Hospital.

• Mason Nunnery, 16, 126 E. Parkwood St., was cited with reasonable control after a two-vehicle crash on Wednesday, May 24, at 12:50 p.m.

Nunnery was traveling northbound on Lester Avenue attempting to turn eastbound onto Gleason Avenue when he failed to make the turn and slid into the parking lot of Derby Fabrication on Lester Avenue and struck a parked vehicle, then continued eastbound and moved a large rock before coming to a final rest at the employee entrance of the business.

The parked vehicle is owned by Jacqueline Czaja, 616 Adams St.

TUESDAY

-12:38 to 11:49 a.m.: medical. Crews responded to three calls.

MONDAY

-3:33 to 10:20 p.m.: crash. Crews responded to two automobile crashes.

-12:28 a.m. to 11:14 p.m.: medical. Crews responded to 13 calls. One was a false call.

SUNDAY

-4:01 p.m.: crash. Crews responded to an automobile crash.

-10:06 a.m. to 5:49 p.m.: medical. Crews responded to five calls.
