Sheriff’s log

FRIDAY

-11:40 a.m.: theft. Deputies were dispatched to 2470 Tawawa Maplewood Road in Green Township on the report someone broke-in and stole converters.

-11:34 a.m.: theft. Deputies were dispatched to 10733 Scott Road in Franklin Township on the report of identity theft.

-10:47 a.m.: trash dumping. Deputies were dispatched the 11000 block of Wright Puthoff Road in Turtle Creek Township on the report trash was dumped in the ditch near the cemetery.

-2:45 a.m.: drugs. Deputies responded to the report a needle was found on an inmate at the Shelby County Sheriff’s Office on Gearhart Road.

THURSDAY

-5:34 p.m.: investigative complaint. Deputies investigated the complaint a farmer was spraying his field in the yard of 4367 State Route 29 in Green Township.

-5:06 p.m.: theft. Anna Police was dispatched to 309 Diamond Drive on the report of fraudulent charges on a credit card.

Crashes

No citations were issued following a one-vehicle crash on Tuesday at 12:25 p.m.

Jeffrey Young, 49, 810 E. Pike St., Jackson Center, was parked facing the south in the 11000 block of state Route 362 in a pulled-off lane. He started his truck while in gear and it lurched forward, but unable to get his foot on the break to stop the vehicle, it drove off the west side of the pull-off lane and rolled down an embankment several times before coming to a rest on its tires in a 2-foot deep creek.

FRIDAY

-2:04 p.m.: medical. Fort Loramie Rescue, Fire Department and Police responded to Industrial Drive and South Main Street on the report of a motorcycle crash.

-12:04 p.m.: medical. Perry Port Salem Rescue responded to the 200 block of North Lane Street in Salem Township.

-6:40 a.m.: medical. Houston Rescue Squad responded to the 10400 block of Seminole Trail in Washington Township.

-4:35 a.m.: medical. Fort Loramie Rescue responded to the 12000 block of Thelma Drive in McLean Township.

THURSDAY

-3:11 p.m.: medical. Anna Rescue and Jackson Center Police responded to the 400 block of West Pike Street in Jackson Center.
