SIDNEY — A Sidney woman is in Shelby County jail after an indictment by a grand jury on Thursday.
Amanda Murphy, 20, 1117 Hilltop Avenue, Apt. A, is charge with improper handling of a firearm, carrying a concealed weapon, endangering children, two counts of aggravated menacing and criminal damaging or endangering.
Murphy allegedly had a loaded Phoenix .22 semi-automatic pistol under the passenger seat that was readily accessible, while her 18-month-old daughter remained in the same vehicle. She also allegedly threatened to shoot David Scragg and Julia Walker-Douglas and knowingly cut a tire on a vehicle belonging to Lucas Fitzgerald.
The grand jury also indicted:
• Kenneth Nelson Bowling, Jr., 52, 3806 Gilbert Drive, Apt. D, Shreveport, Louisiana, having weapons while under disability, improper handling of firearms in a motor vehicle, aggravated possession of drugs, operating a motor vehicle while under the influence and driving under suspension. Nelson also had active warrants in Michigan and Texas.
• Mark McWhorter, 40, 428 Reames Avenue, Springfield, having weapons while under disability.
• Matthew Stansell, 31, 839 Park Street, grand theft and having weapons while under disability.
• Michael Downing, 43, 2028 Eastview Avenue, Dayton, failure to comply with order of a police officer.
• Megan Myers, 23, 13844 Sharp Road, aggravated possession of drugs and possessing criminal tools.
• David Welch, 29, 1211 Morris Drive, aggravated possession of drugs and possessing criminal tools.
• Anthony Still, 49, 1307 Spruce Avenue, possession of drugs and possessing criminal tools.
• Shane Slagle, unknown, possession of drugs and possessing criminal tools.
• Justin Reiley, 35, possession of drugs and possessing criminal tools.
• Nicholas Inman, 33, 435 N. Miami Avenue, aggravated assault.
• Justin Austin, 28, 2422 Homestead Avenue, Cincinnati, possession of drugs, possessing criminal tools and carrying a concealed weapon.
There will be a group arraignment at 10 a.m. on Thursday, June 29, at the Shelby County Courthouse.
