Police log

MONDAY

-5:41 p.m.: found property. A wallet containing a Chase credit card belonging to Walker Mustain, 19, at large, was found at the Holiday Inn on Folkerth Avenue and was turned into the police department.

-3:25 p.m.: violate protection order. Justin Williams, 36, 1505 Spruce Ave., was arrested for violating a protection order.

-12:38 p.m.: criminal damaging. Lawrence Kemp, 26, 215 Belmont St., reported someone put paint on his vehicle overnight.

-12:07 p.m.: forgery. Chilly Jilly’s on South Ohio Avenue reported a counterfeit $20 bill was used at the business.

-6:45 a.m.: lost property. Moleboheng Moremi, 32, 2415 Alpine Court., reported she lost her wallet in the 200 block of East North Street. The wallet contained $35, three Social Security cards, a WIC card, U.S. Bank card and a driver’s license.

-4:17 a.m.: warrant. Heather Kies, 26, 418 Fifth Ave., was arrested on a Logan County warrant.

SUNDAY

-11:55 p.m.: theft. Albert Watters, 66, 991 N. Wagner Ave., reported the theft of 300 CDs from his residence.

-11:57 a.m.: criminal damaging. Kinnison Excavating, of Piqua, reported a Komatsu excavator and the sidewalk at 614 Oak Ave. were spray painted. A police investigation is ongoing.

-1:24 a.m.: criminal trespass. Michelle Lusk, 25, 611 S. Walnut Ave., reported someone entered her residence without permission.

SATURDAY

-11:11 p.m.: criminal damaging. Police are investigating the report made by Matthew Henderson, 48, and Melissa Henderson, 48, both of Wapakoneta, of damage to Matthew’s 2009 Buick Lucerne’s windows, damage valued at $400. They also reported the theft of Melissa’s purse containing $70, a driver’s license, six bank cards, a set of keys and a child support card.

-5:42 p.m.: criminal simulation. Oasis Drive Thru on Michigan Street reported receiving a counterfeit $20 bill.

-3:22 p.m.: driving under the influence. Lane Kattau, 55, 18654 McCloskey School Road, was arrested for OVI and OVI refusal breath with prior OVI.

-3:09 p.m.: criminal mischief. Damon Shaffer, 53, 845 Merri Lane, reported someone poured a liquid, which he believed was shampoo or conditioner, on his 2007 Honda overnight. Shaffer told police it did not appear to damage the vehicle’s paint.

-1:38 p.m.: criminal damaging. Police are investigating a report made by Raelynn Feasel, 36, DeGraff, that a dirt bike drove through and damaged the turfed grass of 1465 E. Court St.

-10:46 a.m.: criminal damaging. Sycamore Creek Apartments on Country Side Drive reported someone damaged a cable box over night.

-10:21 a.m.: theft. Marla Grise, 48, 768 Countryside St., Apt. 1, reported someone removed the lid/screen from her laptop computer and replaced it with another one.

FRIDAY

-9:31 p.m.: misuse of credit card. Abbie Drees, 31, 115 Franklin Ave., reported the misuse of a credit card in the amount of $460.09.

-8:03 p.m.: misuse of credit card. Penny Plotner, 49, 714 Spruce Ave., reported someone used her GoBank debit card in the amount of $370.

-2:48 p.m.: criminal damaging. Devin Fleming, 30, 632 Second Ave., reported the past theft of a Craftsman electric power washer and a door jamb was broken.

-1:01 p.m.: theft. Cameron Arnold, 18, 815 Lynn St., reported the past theft of $99.69 from his residence.

-12:23 p.m.: warrant. Scott Cupp, 49, 509 Urban Ave., was arrested on an outstanding warrant.

THURSDAY

-11:19 a.m.: criminal damaging. Marla Grise, 48, 768 Countryside St., Apt. 1, reported someone scratched the paint on the passenger’s side of her vehicle.

Crashes

No one was cited following a two-vehicle crash on Monday at 4:11 p.m.

Dennis Cook, 73, 3403 Chicksaw Court, was traveling southbound on Fair Road near Chestnut Avenue and Bridget Sheperd, 32, 276 W. Pinehurst St. was traveling north-eastbound on Fair Road near Chestnut Avenue when the two vehicles stuck each other’s drivers’ side mirrors.

No citation was issued because police were unable to determine which driver was at fault.

• Moriah Pauley, 18, 2503 Collins Drive, was cited with reasonable control after a crash on Sunday at 1:33 a.m.

Pauley was traveling eastbound on Lunar Street when she turned northbound onto Collins Avenue and stuck a trailer parked in front of 2304 Collins Ave.

The collision caused the trailer to roll over the curb, onto the sidewalk and front lawn of 2304 Collins Ave. Pauley then left the scene but later reported the crash and her location to police.

• Aminata Louzolo, 20, 945 Buckeye Ave., was cited with turning at intersection after a two-vehicle crash on Saturday at 4:37 p.m.

Louzolo was traveling eastbound on Michigan Street and when turning southbound onto North Highland Avenue turned too wide and struck the front left side of the northbound vehicle on North Highland Avenue driven by Michael McMartin, 27, 323 Franklin Ave.

• Andrew Young, 16, of Piqua, was cited with failure to yield after a two-vehicle crash on Saturday at 1:17 p.m.

Young was traveling southbound and exiting the parking lot of Lowe’s Home Improvement on Michigan Street when he didn’t see a westbound vehicle on Michigan Street and pulled out into its lane of travel causing the vehicle driven by Barbara Goulart, 85, 434 E. Hoewisher Road to hit Young’s vehicle.

• Adam Marcus, 31, 318 East Bennett St., was cited for starting and backing following a two-vehicle crash on Friday at 4:59 p.m.

Marcus was traveling eastbound on Washington Street and then turned southbound onto North Main Avenue, which is a one-way only northbound street. Rose Murphy, 54, 2805 Wapakoneta Ave., was traveling northbound on North Main Avenue and attempted to change lanes from the left lane to the right lane when she noticed Marcus’s vehicle traveling the wrong direction on North Main Avenue. Marcus then pulled perpendicular to North Main Avenue and when backing up struck Murphy’s vehicle, causing it to flip on its side.

Murphy, and her passenger, Carla Baker, 48, 2805 Wapakoneta Ave., were transported by Sidney Fire to Wilson Health.

• Roger Gross, 52, 2740 Miami River Road, was cited with operation without reasonable control after a crash on Friday at 5:38 a.m.

Gross was traveling southbound in the 900 block of South Vandemark Road when he struck a railroad crossing gate and a train car that was stopped on the railroad tracks.

• Bruce Schneider, 56, 333 E. North St., was cited with right of way at alley after a two-vehicle crash on Wednesday at 4:56 p.m.

Schneider was traveling northbound on a motorized scooter in the alley adjacent to the 300 block of East South Street when he turned west onto East South Street without stopping and struck David Murray, 55, 208 Doorley Road., who was eastbound on a bicycle on East South Street.

Fire, rescue

TUESDAY

-1:09 a.m. to 1:01 p.m.: medical. Medics responded to four calls.

-12:03 a.m.: service call. Medics responded to assist an individual.

MONDAY

-5:01 p.m.: fire. Crews responded to the report of an open burn at 406 E. Edgewood Drive. The fire was permitted.

-11:39 a.m. to 1:25 p.m.: fire. Firefighters responded to two false fire alarm at 2400 Industrial Drive.

-5 a.m. to 11:41 p.m.: medical. Medics responded to 12 calls. One call was for mutual aid.

-12:13 a.m.: service call. Crews responded to assist an individual.

SUNDAY

-9:50 p.m.: assist. Firefighters responded to assist the police department.

-9:03 p.m.: service call. Medics responded to assist an individual.

-3:41 p.m.: crash. Crews responded to an automobile crash with no injuries.

-12:12 p.m.: spill. Firefighters responded to clean up a chemical spill in the roadway.

-12:28 to 9:05 p.m.: medical. Crews responded to four calls.

-10:27 a.m.: fire. Firefighters responded to an unauthorized open burn report.
