SIDNEY — For the third time in three days, Sidney law rnforcement officials have executed a narcotics search warrant in Sidney.

On Saturday, Aug. 12 2017, at approximately 9:40 p.m., investigators and officers from the Sidney Police Department executed a narcotics search warrant at 301 S. Miami Ave., Sidney Ohio.

Recovered during the search were methamphetamine, heroin, suboxone and drug paraphernalia. As a result of the search warrant, Charles Swiger, age 51, was arrested and charged with one count of trafficking in drugs, a felony of the 2nd degree. As a result of the charge, Swiger was incarcerated at the Shelby County Jail.

This warrant execution is a continuing effort by the Sidney Police Department to combat drug abuse and drug trafficking in Sidney.
