-3:13 a.m.: theft. Carol Strayer, 70, 1639 Timberidge Drive, reported the theft of a Kindle Fire tablet, valued at $300, a blue book bag and $15 from her vehicle at her residence.

MONDAY

-9:05 p.m.: theft. David Whitt, 41, 519 N. West Ave., reported the theft of his U.S. Bank card at Fricker’s on Michigan Street.

-7:03 p.m.: criminal damaging. Jimmie Murphy, 35, 901 Norwood Drive, reported someone damaged the hood of his vehicle, valued at $300.

-5:15 p.m.: theft. Marathon gas station on Fair Road reported theft of $33.06 in gas by someone who pumped gas and did not pay.

-4:06 p.m.: theft. Morgan Moorman, 35, 606 Second Ave., reported the theft of two recycling bins.

-4:21 p.m.: found property. A brown wallet containing the ID belonging to Andrew Russell, 25, Marion, was found on West Court Street and Royan Avenue and was turned into the police department.

-1:28 p.m.: lost property. Primecomm ATT on Michigan Street reported 10 demo cell phones, valued at $170, were possibly lost.

SUNDAY

-6:38 p.m.: criminal damaging. Margaret Odle, 54, 124 Bon Air Drive, reported someone damaged her vehicle’s hood, roof and trunk at her residence.

-5:51 p.m.: theft. Police are investigating the report made by Calvin Parks, 67, 705 Michigan St., of the theft of 10 morphine pills, 14 oxycotin pills, 40 miscellaneous pain pills and an unknown quantity of Darvocet medication from his residence.

-3:11 p.m.: assault. Joseph Teasley, 39, 328 W. North St., was arrested for assault.

-11 a.m.: criminal damaging. Edward Nichols, 38, 2009 W. Michigan St., reported the theft of the temporary tag and damage to four tires on his vehicle.

-10:04 a.m.: criminal damaging. Asha Lee, 22, 958 Pt. Jefferson Road, Apt. 1, reported a past criminal damaging when her vehicle’s windshield was shattered.

-9:55 a.m.: criminal damaging. Anna Allen, 58, 815 Norwood St., reported someone damaged the hood of their car by getting on top of it. Damage is estimated to cost $1,000.

-5:23 a.m.: criminal damaging. A police officer on patrol reported damage of grass turf, owned by the city of Sidney, from someone who drove through it in the 900 block of South Main Avenue.

-12:20 a.m.: driving under the influence. Paul Schmidt, 37, 705 S. Walnut Ave., was arrested for OVI and OVI refusal breath with prior DUI.

SATURDAY

-9:16 p.m.: domestic violence. Todd Hines, 35, 107 S. Wilkinson Ave., Apt. B, was arrested for domestic violence and criminal damaging.

-7:36 p.m.: theft. Chipotle on Michigan Street reported the theft of $129.47 from a “quick change artist.”

-4:34 p.m.: warrant. A 17-year-old male was arrested on an active warrant.

-12:44 p.m.: breaking and entering. Police are investigating the report made by George Frazier, 73, 1130 Park St., of damage to his door frame, fence and gate.

-5:55 a.m.: warrant. A 16-year-old female was arrested on a warrant.

FRIDAY

-10:48 p.m.: theft. Police are investigating a theft complaint made by Walmart on Michigan Street.

-9:33 p.m.: warrant. Lucas Fitzgerald, 26, at large, was arrested on an outstanding Champaign County warrant.

-6:25 p.m.: identity theft. Police are investigating the report made by Haley Spires, 21, 500 N. Vandemark Road, Apt. 25, that someone used her Social Security number.

-9:36 a.m.: found property. A black LG cellphone was found near Fourth Street and Michigan Street and was turned into the police department.

-8:15 a.m.: endangering children. Macey Arnold, 21, 820 Clinton Ave., was arrested for endangering children after it was reported that a 2-year-old child was on the Corner of Pike Street and North Ohio Avenue without any adults present.

THURSDAY

-2:14 p.m.: burglary. Keshia Hudgins, 26, 822 Taft St., reported the theft of a diaper bag containing miscellaneous contents from her home.

-9:56 a.m.: theft. Norcold on South Kuther Road reported the theft of an Ingersoll Rand impact driver from the business. The equipment, valued at $1,500, was later recovered. A police investigation continues.

-6:44 a.m.: warrant. Kassia Alberts, 30, 822 Taft St., was arrested on a warrant.

Crashes

Burl Ridgeway, 64, Troy, was cited with improper lane change following a two-vehicle crash on Monday at 10:40 p.m.

Ridgeway was turning west onto Michigan Street from Speedway parking lot and when attempting to turn into the center median lane he turned too wide and entered the left lane causing the westbound vehicle driven by Joshua Murphy, 33, Bradford, to strike Ridgeway’s vehicle.

• Lauren Larger, 17, 2273 Beechwood Trail, was cited with assured clear distance ahead following a two-vehicle crash on Monday at 6:36 p.m.

Larger was facing eastbound on West Russell Road at a red light at the intersection of St. Marys Avenue when she mistook a green turn arrow for the green light and rear-ended the vehicle in stopped front of her driven by Amanda Couchot, 35, 119 E. Dallas St.

Couchot was transported by Sidney Fire to Wilson Health.

• Anthony Bowen, 23, Piqua, was cited with obedience to traffic control devices after a collision on Monday at 5:49 p.m.

Bowen was traveling westbound on West Court Street near Fourth Avenue when he ran the red light and struck the southbound vehicle on Fourth Avenue in the intersection that was driven by Angie Greene, 43, 828 Broadway Ave.

• Nancy New, 61, 1601 Miami Conservancy Road, was cited with assured clear distance ahead following a three-vehicle crash on Monday at 3:32 p.m.

New was traveling northbound on Wapakoneta Road when she didn’t stop in time and rear-ended the stopped vehicle in front of her driven by Jerri Drees, 56, 121 W. Poplar St. The collision caused Drees’ vehicle to rear-end the vehicle stopped in traffic in front of her that was driven by Scott Turner, 53, Wapakoneta.

New and Drees were transported by Sidney Fire to Wilson Health.

• Clinton Weeks, 23, Fairborn, was cited with assured clear distance ahead following a two-vehicle crash on Monday at 10:19 a.m.

Weeks was traveling southbound on South Stolle Avenue when he struck the rear of the vehicle driven by Donnell Brown, 71, Troy.

• Tyler Griggs, 24, Marysville, was cited with traffic control device after a two-vehicle crash on Monday at 6:57 a.m.

Griggs was traveling westbound on the West North Street approaching the red light at the intersection of Ohio Avenue. He proceeded through the red light and he caused a collision with the southbound vehicle on North Ohio Avenue that could not avoid hitting Griggs’ vehicle.

The other vehicle was driven by Thomas Goffena, 34, 2016 Broadway Ave.

TUESDAY

-2:18 to 2:28 a.m.: medical. Crews responded to two calls.

MONDAY

-11:49 p.m.: fire. Firefighters responded to 2800 Howard St. for a false fire alarm.

-7:44 p.m.: fire. Crews responded to 1396 Constitution Ave. for a false fire alarm.

-6:20 p.m.: investigation. Firefighters conducted an investigation.

-5:21 p.m.: fire. Firefighters reponded for the mutual aid of Port Jefferson Fire Department for a fire on Leatherwood Creek.

-10:32 a.m. to 6:44 p.m.: crash. Crews responded to five automobile crashes.

-2:12 a.m. to 11:36 p.m.: medical. Medics responded to seven calls.

SUNDAY

-10:31 p.m.: service call. Firefighters responded to the report of a broken water line.

-10:24 a.m.: fire. Crews responded to a false fire alarm.

-8:59 a.m. to 9:29 p.m.: medical. Crews responded to seven calls.
